Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Desain Didaktis Konsep Garis Singgung Lingkaran pada Pembelajaran Matematika di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Berdasarkan Learning Obstacle dan Learning Trajectory”. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya proses pembelajaran yang kurang bermakna, penggunaan bahan ajar yang kurang sesuai dengan kondisi siswa dan adanya learning obstacle yang dialami siswa. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat desain didaktis alternatif yang diharapkan dapat meminimalisir learning obstacle. Desain didaktis alternatif juga disusun berdasarkan learning trajectory konsep garis singgung lingkaran kemudian diimplementasikan kepada siswa kelas VIII SMP yang belum pernah mendapat pengajaran konsep garis singgung lingkaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa terjadi pengurangan learning obstacle yang ditemukan meskipun belum secara utuh dan desain didaktis ini dapat dijadikan salah satu rekomendasi bahan ajar pada pembelajaran konsep garis singgung lingkaran. The title of this study is "Didactical Design of the Concept of Tangent Lines on Mathematics Learning in Junior High School Based on Learning Obstacle and Learning Trajectory". This research is grounded by the meaningless learning process, the usage of teaching material which is not suitable with students’ condition, and the existence of learning obstacle that is experienced by the student. Accordingly, the purpose of this study was to create a didactical design that was expected to minimize the learning obstacle. The didactical design was also arranged based on the learning trajectory in learning the concept of tangent lines and then implemented to eighth graders of Junior High School (SMP) who have never received any concept of tangent lines instruction. The method used in this study was qualitative method and the techniques employed for obtaining the data were observation, interview, and documentation study. The result showed that there was a reduction of students’ learning obstacle after getting the didactical design instruction arranged by the researcher. It can be concluded that the didactic design can minimize the learning obstacle discovered, though it is not yet fully
