Abstract

Masalah yang menjadi kajian dalam penelitian ini adalah mengenai penurunan efektivitas kerja pegawai di Dinas Energi Dan Sumber Daya Mineral Provinsi Jawa Barat Pada Bagian Sekretariat. Salah satu faktor yang diduga menyebabkan penurunan adalah kurang sesuai penempatan pegawai yang dilakukan. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini hendak mengkaji gambaran Penempatan Pegawai (X) serta tingkat Efektivitas Kerja Pegawai (Y) dan adakah pengaruh Penempatan Pegawai (X) Terhadap Efektivitas Kerja Pegawai (Y)di Dinas Energi Dan Sumber Daya Mineral Provinsi Jawa Barat Pada Bagian Sekretariat.
Jenis metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode survey. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara penyebaran angket yang menggunakan skala pengukuran rating scale. Ukuran populasi yang diteliti sebanyak 42 orang pegawai, yang seluruhnya merupakan pegawai Dinas Energi Dan Sumber Daya Mineral Provinsi Jawa Barat Pada Bagian Sekretariat. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji regresi linier sederhana.
Berdasatkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penempatan pegawai di Dinas Energi Dan Sumber Daya Mineral Provinsi Jawa Barat Pada Bagian Sekretariat berada pada kategori sesuai, serta indikator yang terendah adalah keterampilan kerja. Sedangkan untuk efektivitas kerja pegawai berada pada kategori tinggi dan indikator terendah adalah kuantitas kerja. Selanjutnya, dari hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penempatan pegawai terhadap efektivitas kerja pegawai. Dari koefisien korelasi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang cukup kuat antara penempatan pegawai terhadap efektivitas kerja pegawai di Dinas Energi Dan Sumber Daya Mineral Provinsi Jawa Barat Pada Bagian Sekretariat.

The issue investigated in this research is the declinein employee effectiveness at the secretariat section of The Department of Energy and Mineral Resources of West Java. One of the possible factors causing the decrease is the inappropriate placement regulated by the department. Hence, this research is aimed at describing employee placement (X) and employee effectiveness (Y) and investigating the influence of employee placement (X) toward employee effectiveness (Y) at the secretariat section of the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources of West Java.
The method employed in this research was survey method. The data were collected from the questionnaire utilizing rating scale as the measurement scale. The population investigated in this research was 42 employees of the secretariat section of the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources of West Java. The data were analyzed by utilizing simple linear regression analysis.
Based on the findings, it is found that the employee placement at the secretariat section of the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources of West Java is in the appropriate level, and the lowest indicator found is working skill. Moreover, the employee effectiveness is on the high level and the lowest indicator is the working quantity. Furthermore, the result of hypothesis testing shows that employee placement has a significant influence toward employee working effectiveness. The correlation coefficient shows that there is a strong correlation between employee placement and employee effectiveness at the secretariat section of the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources of West Java.
