Abstract

Starting from the assessment of poor free throw results in basketball athletes when playing on the field, especially when the athlete is tired, this study aims to determine the significant effect of fatigue on free throw accuracy in basketball games. Research is a systematic way to collect data and present the results. The type of research used is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The descriptive method is one type of quantitative research method with a problem formulation that combines research to explore or photograph the social situation that will be studied comprehensively, broadly, and in depth. Based on the data processing that has been carried out, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of fatigue on the accuracy of Free Throw shots. These results indicate that the more tired a player is, the lower the level of success of the free throw shots that can be made. Based on the results of the research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that physical fatigue has a significant effect on the accuracy of free throw shots in basketball games. The results of statistical tests show a significant decrease in the accuracy of free throw shots when players are in a tired physical condition compared to when they are in prime condition.
