Abstract

Tahap dewasa awal merupakan masa transisi yang ditandai oleh eksplorasi identitas dalam hubungan romantis, namun faktor seperti anxious attachment style dan fear of loneliness dapat meningkatkan kerentanan individu terhadap toxic relationship, yang berdampak negatif pada kesejahteraan emosional dan kemampuan untuk meninggalkan hubungan yang tidak sehat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh anxious attachment style dan fear of loneliness terhadap toxic relationship pada dewasa awal di bandung. Peneliti menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 367 dewasa awal. Peneliti menggunakan instrumen Toxic relationship Behavior (TRB) milik Graham (2022) untuk mengukur toxic relationship, instrumen Experiences in Close Relationship Questionnaire-Revised (ECR-R) milik Fraley, dkk. (2000) yang telah diadaptasi menjadi Bahasa Indonesia oleh Suseno (2022) untuk mengukur anxious attachment style, dan the Brief Scale of Fear of loneliness (BSFL) oleh Ventura-León dkk. (2020) untuk mengukur fear of loneliness. Data dianalisis menggunakan regresi berganda dan menghasilkan data bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara anxious attachment style dan fear of loneliness terhadap toxic relationship pada dewasa awal.

Early adulthood is a transitional phase characterized by identity exploration in romantic relationships. However, factors such as anxious attachment style and fear of loneliness can increase an individual's vulnerability to toxic relationships, negatively impacting emotional well-being and the ability to leave unhealthy relationships. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of anxious attachment style and fear of loneliness on toxic relationships in early adults in Bandung. The researcher used a quantitative method in this study. Data were taken from 367 early adults. Researchers used the Toxic relationship Behavior scale by Graham (2022) to measure toxic relationship, Experiences in Close Relationship Questionnaire-Revised scale by Fraley et al. (2000), adapted by Suseno (2022) to measure anxious attachment style, and the Brief Scale of Fear of loneliness by Ventura-León et al. (2020) to measure fear of loneliness. Data were analyzed using multiple regression. The results of the research show that there is an influence of anxious attachment style and fear of loneliness on toxic relationships in early adults in Bandung.
