Abstract

Pemanfaatan sumber belajar IPS masih terpaku pada bahan pembelajaran yang terbatas. Kajian utama penelitian ini adalah identifikasi nilai-nilai kearifan lokal Keraton Surosowan, bagaimana mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai tersebut dalam pembelajaran IPS di SMPN 2 Kota Serang, dan bagaimana kendala serta solusi pemanfaatan Keraton Surosowan sebagai sumber belajar IPS. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Keraton Surosowan memiliki nilai-nilai yang dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar IPS meliputi nilai gotong royong yang dapat dilihat dari rakyat Banten yang ikut turut membantu membangun Keraton Surosowan. Nilai Toleransi dapat dilihat dari keraton ini dibangun oleh Lucas Hendrick Cardeel yang berasal dari Belanda dan beragama Hindu sehingga dapat kita jumpai bangunan keraton yang bergaya Hindu dan Islam. Nilai Perjuangan dapat dilihat dari perjuangan masyarakat Banten dalam mempertahankan Keraton Surosowan pada saat penghancuran dari penjajah. Implementasi nilai kearifan lokal Keraton Surosowan dalam pembelajaran IPS di SMPN 2 Kota Serang kelas VII D mendorong rasa antusiasme peserta didik dan rasa ingin tahu yang mendalam terhadap kearifan lokal Keraton Surosowan untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai kearifan tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mereka. Kendala pemanfaatan Keraton Surosowan sebagai sumber belajar IPS yaitu adanya miss terhadap narasi sejarah yang biasanya disampaikan oleh edukator yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya informasi yang didapatkan. Solusinya, edukator diberikan pelatihan untuk menyamakan pengetahuan mereka terhadap sejarah Keraton Surosowan. Utilization of social studies learning resources is still limited to limited learning materials. The main study of this research is identifying the local wisdom values of the Surosowan Palace, how to implement these values in social studies learning at SMPN 2 Serang City, and what are the obstacles and solutions to using the Surosowan Palace as a social studies learning resource. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results of the research show that the Surosowan Palace has values that can be used as a social studies learning resource, including the value of mutual cooperation which can be seen from the people of Banten who helped build the Surosowan Palace. The value of tolerance can be seen from this palace, which was built by Lucas Hendrick Cardeel, who comes from the Netherlands and is a Hindu, so we can find palace buildings in Hindu and Islamic styles. The value of struggle can be seen from the struggle of the Banten people in defending the Surosowan Palace during the destruction of the colonialists. The implementation of the local wisdom values of the Surosowan Palace in social studies learning at SMPN 2 Kota Serang class VII D encourages students' enthusiasm and deep curiosity towards the local wisdom of the Surosowan Palace to instill these wisdom values in their daily lives. The obstacle to using the Surosowan Palace as a social studies learning resource is that there are misses on the historical narrative that is usually conveyed by educators due to the lack of information obtained. The solution is that educators are given training to improve their knowledge of the history of the Surosowan Palace.
