Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil wawancara dengan salah satu guru di SDN 3 Mangkubumi, bahwa proses pembelajaran di kelas guru belum maksimal dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran, salah satunya pada mata pelajaran bahasa sunda. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh media powtoon terhadap pemahaman siswa kelas VI SDN 3 Mangkubumi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif jenis quasi eksperimenta Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VI SDN 3 Mangkubumi sebanyak dua kelas dengan jumlah 40 siswa. Teknik penentuan sampel yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah Teknik sampling Nonprobability sampling dengan jenis teknik sampling jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, angket dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh, rata-rata pretest kelas eksperimen yaitu 56,00 dan pretest kelas kontrol yaitu 59,00. rata-rata postest kelas eksperimen yaitu 77,50 sedangkan rata-rata postest kelas kontrol yaitu 66,50. Pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan Uji Paired Sample T-test menunjukkan Sig (2-tailed) < 0,005 (0,000 < 0,05) yang berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Pada uji N-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,435 dengan kategori “sedang” sedangkan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,17 dengan kategori “rendah”. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media powtoon berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman siswa pada materi wawancara bahasa sunda di kelas VI SDN 3 Mangkubumi.
This research is motivated by the results of an interview with one of the teachers at SDN 3 Mangkubumi, that the learning process in the teacher's class has not been maximized in using learning media, one of which is in the Sundanese language subject. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of powtoon media on the understanding of grade VI students of SDN 3 Mangkubumi. This type of research is quantitative quasi-experimental Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were all grade VI of SDN 3 Mangkubumi as many as two classes with a total of 40 students. The sampling technique used by the researcher was the Nonprobability sampling technique with a saturated sampling technique. Data collection techniques used were tests, questionnaires and documentation. The results of the study obtained, the average pretest of the experimental class was 56.00 and the pretest of the control class was 59.00. Average posttest of the experimental class was 77.50 while the average posttest of the control class was 66.50. Hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample T-test shows Sig (2-tailed) <0.005 (0.000 <0.05) which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. In the N-Gain test, the experimental class is 0.435 with the "moderate" category while in the control class it is 0.17 with the "low" category. So it can be concluded that powtoon media has an effect on students' understanding of Sundanese language interview material in class VI SDN 3 Mangkubumi.
