Abstract
Kepribadian guru bimbingan dan konseling menjadi hal yang penting dimiliki oleh guru bimbingan dan konseling agar layanan bimbingan dan konseling dapat dilaksanakan dengan baik. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan kompetensi kepribadian guru bimbingan dan konseling berdasarkan persepsi peserta didik sebagai sasaran dari layanan bimbingan dan konseling. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 324 peserta didik yang terdiri dari enam Sekolah Menengah Atas di Kabupaten Sumedang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi kepribadian guru bimbingan dan konseling secara umum berada pada kategori unconscious competence (kemampuan tanpa sadar). Artinya guru bimbingan dan konseling mampu menampilkan kepribadian sesuai dengan perannya sebagai guru bimbingan dan konseling secara spontan. Kompetensi kepribadian guru bimbingan dan konseling secara aspek berada pada kategori unconscious competence (kemampuan tanpa sadar). Aspek-aspek tersebut terdiri dari aspek beriman dan bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa; menghargai dan menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai kemanusiaan, individualitas dan kebebasan memilih; menunjukkan integritas dan stabilitas kepribadian yang kuat; dan menampilkan kinerja berkualitas tinggi. Hasil ini digunakan sebagai acuan dalam penyusunan program pelatihan untuk mengembangkan kompetensi kepribadian guru bimbingan dan konseling. The personality of guidance and counseling teachers is important to be owned by guidance and counseling teachers so that guidance and counseling services can be carried out properly. This study was conducted to describe the personality competence of guidance and counseling teachers based on the perceptions of students as the target of guidance and counseling services. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach with a survey method. The research sample consisted of 324 students from six high schools in Sumedang Regency. The results showed that the personality competence of guidance and counseling teachers in general was in the unconscious competence category. This means that guidance and counseling teachers are able to display personality in accordance with their role as guidance and counseling teachers spontaneously. The personality competence of guidance and counseling teachers in aspects is in the unconscious competence category. These aspects consist of aspects of faith and fear of God Almighty; respect and uphold human values, individuality and freedom of choice; demonstrate strong personality integrity and stability; and display high quality performance. These results are used as a reference in the preparation of training programs to develop the personality competence of guidance and counseling teachers.
