Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA. Hal ini didasari pada hasil observasi awal yang menunjukan bahwa hasil belajar siswa kelas V SDN Buah Batu pada pokok bahasan Sifat-sifat Cahaya masih banyak yang berada di bawah KKM yang telah ditentukan yaitu 65. Untuk menjawab hal tersebut, dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Student Teams Achievemet Division (STAD). Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA materi Sifat-sifat Cahaya di kelas V SDN Buah Batu dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD? dan bagaimanakah hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa kelas V SDN Buah Batu setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD?. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA materi Sifat-sifat cahaya di kelas V SDN Buah Batu dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa kelas V SDN Buah Batu setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart dengan dua siklus. Pelaksanaan model pembelajaran koopertif tipe STAD terdiri dari enam langkah utama yakni penyampaian tujuan dan motivasi, pembagian kelompok, presentasi dari guru, kegiatan belajar dalam tim, kuis, dan penghargaan tim. Hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi sifat-sifat cahaya setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD di SDN Buah Batu mengalami peningkatan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut di buat kesimpulan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperaif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA materi Sifat-sifat Cahaya. Guru sekolah dasar disarankan untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran STAD pada mata pelajaran atau materi yang lainnya, karena gagasan utama dari model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD ini adalah untuk memotivasi siswa supaya dapat saling mendukung dan membantu satu sama lain dalam menguasai kemampuan yang diajarkan oleh guru. This research is motivated low learning outcomes of students in science subjects. This is based on the results of preliminary observations indicate that student learning outcomes SDN Buah batu class on the subject of light properties are still many who are under the predetermined KKM 65. To answer that, conducted action research to improve outcomes learn to apply the coopertive learning model type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD). The problem of this research is how the implementation of science learning material properties in the class V SDN Buah batu with implementing the cooperative learning model type STAD? and how the learning outcomes of students who obtained grade SDN Buah batu after implementing the cooperative learning model type STAD?. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of science learning material properties of light in the classroom SDN Buah batu with implementing the cooperative learning model type STAD and to describe the results obtained studying Elementary School fifth grade students after applying cooperative learning model type STAD. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart with two cycles. The implementation of Coopertive learning model type STAD consists of six main steps namely the delivery of goals and motivation, group sharing, presentation of the teacher, learning activities in teams, quizzes, and team awards. Student learning outcomes in science subjects the material properties of the light after applying the cooperative learning model type sTAD in SDN Buah batu has increased. Based on the conclusion that the application of the model for learning kooperaif STAD can improve student learning outcomes in science learning material properties of Light. Primary school teachers are advised to apply the Coopertive learning model type STAD on subjects or other material, because the main idea of the STAD cooperative learning model is to motivate students to be able to support each other and help each other in mastering the skills taught by the teacher.
