Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Penerapan Model Role Playing Untuk Meningkatkan Aktivitas Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran IPS”. Dilaksanakan di kelas V A SD Negeri 7 Cibogo Desa Cibogo Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Latar belakang dilakukan penelitian ini adalah kenyataan di lapangan yang menunjukkan rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS karena pembelajaran yang selalu klasikal dengan berceramah. Hal ini mengakibatkan kurangnya aktivitas belajar siswa di dalam kelas. Melihat kondisi tersebut peneliti menerapkan model role playing untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri atas dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan aktivitas siswa serta catatan lapangan. Penerapan model role playing memberikan dampak yang cukup baik bagi aktivitas belajar siswa kelas V A SD Negeri 7 Cibogo. Hal ini dapat terlihat dari meningkatnya aktivitas siswa dari 70.32% pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 86.80% pada siklus II. Peningkatan siswa tersebut terlihat pada meningkatnya aktivitas menyimak penjelasan guru, mengajukan pertanyaan terhadap guru, meyimak penampilan teman, memberi tanggapan terhadap penampilan teman, dan bekerjasama dalam kelompok. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini terhadapa guru yaitu agar mengkaji materi terlebih dahulu, berhati-hati dalam pemilihan kelompok, dan guru di tuntut kreatif dalam menyajikan naskah drama. Adapun rekomendasi bagi guru agar mengkaji materi terlebih dahulu, berhati-hati dalam membentuk kelompok, dan dituntut kreatif dalam meyajikan naskah drama. Rekomendasi bagi kepala sekolah yaitu agar dapat memberikan wawasan mengenai penerapan model role playing, dan rekomendasi bagi peneliti selanjutnya agar memperhatikan latihan bermain peran sebelum tampil. This study, entitled "Application of Model Role Playing To Enhance Student Learning Activity In Subjects IPS". Implemented in the classroom VA 7 Cibogo Village Elementary School District Lembang Cibogo West Bandung regency. The background of this research is the fact on the ground that indicate a low ability students in social studies learning because learning is always classically with preaching. This resulted in a lack of student learning activities in the classroom. Seeing these conditions applied the model of role-playing to improve student learning activities. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR), which consists of two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The instrument used is the observation sheet activities as well as teacher and student activities field notes. Application of a model role playing pretty good impact for student learning activities grade 7 Cibogo VA Elementary School. It can be seen from the increased activity of the students from 70.32% in the first cycle increased to 86.80% in the second cycle. The increase in students is evident in the increased activity of listening to the teacher's explanations, ask questions to the teacher, friend meyimak appearance, giving a response to the appearance of friends, and work together in groups. Recommendations of this study is to assess the teacher terhadapa material beforehand, be careful in the selection of the group, and teachers in demand creative in presenting a play. The recommendation for the teacher to review the material in advance, be careful in forming a group, and are required to deliver compelling creative within a play. Recommendations for principals is to provide insight regarding the application of the model of role playing, and recommendations for further research to consider before performing role-playing exercise
