Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan teknik bercerita berpasangan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksposisi. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini meliputi: (1) bagaimanakah kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks eksposisi sebelum mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan teknik bercerita berpasangan?; (2) bagaimanakah kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks eksposisi sesudah mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan teknik bercerita berpasangan?; dan (3) bagaimanakah keefektifan penerapan teknik bercerita berpasangan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksposisi? Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis yang dilakukan terdapat perbedaan yang cukup signifikan antara kemampuan siswa menulis teks eksposisi dengan teknik bercerita berpasangan di kelas eksperimen dengan kemampuan siswa yang tidak menggunakan teknik bercerita berpasangan di kelas kontrol. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari perolehan hasil t_hitung= 4,499 yang lebih besar dari t_tabel = 2,001. Dengan demikian, teknik bercerita berpasangan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi pada siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Cimahi Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014.

The purpose of this study was to reveal the effectiveness of paired story-telling technique in writing exposition text learning. There are several questions that were going to be answered by this study: 1) How is the capability of the students in writing exposition text before learning paired story-telling technique? 2) How is the capability of the students in writing exposition text after learning paired story-telling technique? 3) How is the effectiveness of paired story-telling technique in writing exposition text learning? The findings of this study showed the significant difference between the ability of writing exposition text of the students of the experiment class who apply paired story-telling technique in their writing and the students of the control class who do not apply paired story-telling
