Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh investment opportunity set terhadap nilai perusahaan dimediasi menggunakan variabel struktur modal. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu perusahaan sektor energi papan utama yang terdaftar di BEI tahun 2019-2022 dengan metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling yang menghasilkan 31 sampel perusahaan. Metode analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu analisis jalur. Untuk pengujian hipotesis digunakan uji t dan uji sobel. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukan bahwa (1) investment opportunity set tidak berpengaruh terhadap struktur modal; (2) investment opportunity set berpengaruh positif terhadap nilai perusahaan; (3) struktur modal tidak berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan; dan (4) struktur modal tidak dapat memediasi pengaruh investment opoortunity set terhadap nilai perusahaan. This study aims to determine the effect of investment opportunity set on firm value mediated by capital structure. The population of this study consists of mainboard energy sector companies listed on the IDX from 2019 to 2022, with a purposive sampling method resulting in a sample of 31 companies. The analysis method used in this study is path analysis. T-tests and Sobel tests are used for hypothesis testing The hypothesis testing results indicate that (1) investment opportunity set does not affect capital structure; (2) investment opportunity set has a positive effect on firm value; (3) capital structure does not affect firm value; and (4) capital structure cannot mediate the effect of investment opportunity set on firm value.
