Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan siswa pada materi pembelajaran bahasa Sunda khususnya pada pembelajaran pakeman basa. Dilihat dari hal tersebut, perlu diadakannya penelitian mengenai pakeman basa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan model Project Based Learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen pada siswa kelas 8D SMPN 2 Bandung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, menghasilkan tiga hal. Pertama, kemampuan awal siswa pada pembelajaran pakeman basa dapat dikatakan belum mampu memahami pembelajaran pakeman basa dilihat dari hasil berdasarkan aspek penilaian siswa yang masih berada pada nilai rata-rata 51. Kedua, kemampuan akhir siswa pada pembelajaran pakeman basa sudah dikatakan mampu memahami pembelajaran pakeman basa dilihat dari hasil berdasarkan aspek penilaian yang tergolong pada kategori “baik” dengan nilai rata-rata 83. Ketiga, ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan sebelum dan sesudah dilaksanakannya model Project Based Learning. Berdasarkan pada hasil tes uji normalitas dan uji hipotesis pada penelitian ini yaitu adanya perbedaan yang signifikan pada pembelajaran pakeman basa sebelum dan sesudah dilakukannya model Project Based Learning. Maka dari itu, model Project Based Learning efektif untuk digunakan pada pembelajaran pakeman basa. This research was motivated by students' lack of ability in Sundanese language learning materials, especially in pakeman basa learning. Judging from this, it is necessary to conduct research on pakeman basa. The aim of this research is to determine students' abilities before and after implementing the Project Based Learning model. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method on class 8D students at SMPN 2 Bandung. Based on the research results, it produces three things. First, students' initial abilities in pakeman basa learning can be said to have not been able to understand pakeman basa learning seen from the results based on aspects of student assessment which are still at an average score of 51. Second, students' final abilities in pakeman basa learning can be said to be able to understand pakeman basa learning seen from the results based on the assessment aspects are classified as "good" with an average score of 83. Third, there is a significant difference between abilities before and after the implementation of the Project Based Learning model. Based on the results of the normality test and hypothesis test in this research, there are significant differences in pakeman basa learning before and after the Project Based Learning model was implemented. Therefore, the Project Based Learning model is effective for use in pakeman basa learning.
