Abstract

Karyawan merupakan salah satu sumber daya yang digunakan sebagai alat penggerak dalam memajukan suatu perusahaan, oleh karena itu karyawan perlu diperhatikan agar kepuasan kerjanya dapat terpenuhi. Permasalahan kepuasan kerja banyak dihadapi oleh perusahaan berbagai sektor, mulai dari sektor instansi dalam negeri, perkebunan, ekspedisi, hingga perbankan. Kepuasan kerja karyawan di salah satu perusahaan mengalami penurunan yakni di BJB University. Ada beberapa pendekatan untuk meningkatkan kepuasan kerja karyawan melalui peningkatan promosi dan lingkungan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) gambaran promosi, (2) gambaran lingkungan kerja, (3) tingkat kepuasan kerja, (4) pengaruh promosi terhadap kepuasan kerja, (5) pengaruh lingkungan kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja, (6) pengaruh promosi dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yakni sample jenuh yang berjumlah 43 orang. Metode analisis yang digunakan yakni SEM PLS (Partial Least Square) dengan menggunakan program smartPLS versi 4.0. Hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa 1) promosi berada dalam kategori sangat baik, 2) lingkungan kerja berada dalam kategori kondusif, 3) kepuasan kerja berada pada tingkat yang tinggi, 4) promosi berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan sebesar 42,9% dikategorikan sangat baik, 5) lingkungan kerja berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan sebesar 55,8% dikategorikan kondusif, 6) promosi dan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja sebesar 94% dikategorikan sangat tinggi. Perusahaan dapat meningkatkan kepuasan kerja karyawan dengan memberikan kesempatan promosi yang adil, memerhatikan hubungan karyawan dengan atasan maupun sesama karyawan, dan melakukan pengawasan yang benar pada pekerjaan yang dilakukan. Perusahaan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kepuasan kerja karyawan yang berdampak pada produktivitas karyawan. Employees are one of the resources used as a driving force in advancing a company, therefore employees need to be considered so that their job satisfaction can be fulfilled. Many job satisfaction problems are faced by companies in various sectors, ranging from the domestic agency sector, plantations, expeditions, to banking. Employee job satisfaction in one of the companies has decreased, namely at BJB University. There are several approaches to increase employee job satisfaction through increased promotion and work environment. This study aims to determine (1) the description of promotion, (2) the description of the work environment, (3) the level of job satisfaction, (4) the effect of promotion on job satisfaction, (5) the effect of the work environment on job satisfaction, (6) the effect of promotion and work environment on job satisfaction. This research applies quantitative methods. The sampling technique used is a saturated sample totaling 43 people. The analysis method used is SEM PLS (Partial Least Square) using the smartPLS version 4.0 program. The results of the study can be seen that 1) promotion is in the very good category, 2) the work environment is in the conducive category, 3) job satisfaction is at a high level, 4) promotion affects employee job satisfaction by 42.9% which is categorized as very good, 5) the work environment affects employee job satisfaction by 55.8% which is categorized as conducive, 6) promotion and work environment affect job satisfaction by 94% which is categorized as very high. Companies can increase employee job satisfaction by providing fair promotion opportunities, paying attention to employee relationships with superiors and fellow employees, and conducting proper supervision of the work performed. Companies are expected to increase employee job satisfaction which has an impact on employee productivity.
