Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya aktivitas peserta didik yang berada pada kategori kurang aktif setelah dilakukannya observasi kondisi awal. Terutama pada indikator aktivitas jenis oral activities dan mental activities. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah mengetahui seberapa besar peningkatan aktivitas peserta didik yang dapat dicapai dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan ddesain penelitian Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan observasi dengan instrumen berupa lembar observasi berisi 15 butir indikator dengan isisan 1-5. Penelitian ini melibatkan 36 peserta didik kelas X ULP 1 di SMK Negeri 9 Bandung. Pelaksanaan tindakan dilakukan sebanyak dua kali dimana pada setiap siklusnya pembelajaran dilaksanakan sebanyak dua pertemuan. Proyek yang ditugaskan pada siklus I adalah pembuatan flayer dan pada siklus II adalah pembuatan video pendek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning, aktivitas peserta didik dapat meningkat di setiap siklusnya dimana pada siklus rata – rata jumlah skor aktivitas peserta didik mencapai kategori “Aktif” dengan presentase 53,2 dan pada siklus II berada pada kategori “Sangat Aktif” dengan presentase 68,3. Pada siklus I terdapat 12 indikator yang mencapai kategori “Aktif” dan 3 indikator yang mencapai kategori “Cukup Aktif”. Sedangkan pada siklus II seluruh indikator mengalami peningkatan yakni 15 indikator berada pada kategori "Sangat Aktif". Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning meningkatkan aktivitas belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Dasar – dasar Usaha Layanan Pariwisata. This research was motivated by the low activity of students who were in the less active category after observing initial conditions. Especially in activity indicators such as oral activities and mental activities. The main objective of this research is to find out how much increase in student activity can be achieved by implementing the Project Based Learning learning model. The research method was carried out using a qualitative approach and a Classroom Action Research (CAR) research design. Data collection was carried out by interviews and observations with an instrument in the form of an observation sheet containing 15 indicator items with fields 1-5. This research involved 36 students of class X ULP 1 at SMK Negeri 9 Bandung. The action was carried out twice, where in each cycle the learning was carried out in two meetings. The project assigned in cycle I was making flyers and in cycle II was making short videos. The results of the research show that by implementing the Project Based Learning learning model, student activity can increase in each cycle, where in the cycle the average number of student activity scores reaches the "Active" category with a percentage of 53,2 and in cycle II it is in the "Very Active" category with a percentage of 68.3. In cycle I 12 indicators reached the "Active" category and 3 indicators that reached the "Quite Active" category. Meanwhile, in cycle II, all indicators experienced an increase, namely 15 indicators were in the "Very Active" category. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Project Based Learning learning model increases students' learning activities in the Basics of Tourism Service Business subjects.
