Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ketidakmampuan peserta didik dalam membaca denah dan arah mata angin apabila denah dan arah mata angin tersebut berbentuk 2D atau fisik. Ketidakmampuan membaca denah dan arah mata angin tersebut disebabkan oleh kurangnya pemahaman lebih lanjut terkait denah dan arah mata angin ketika diajarkan pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Mengetahui hasil belajar materi denah dan arah mata angin peserta didik fase A; 2) Mengetahui hasil belajar materi denah dan arah mata angin peserta didik fase A; dan 3) Mengetahui pengaruh metode treasure hunt dalam upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar materi denah dan arah mata angin peserta didik fase A. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian quasi experiment pre-test post-test with non-equivalent control group. Instrumen yang digunakan, yaitu instrumen tes pre-test dan post-test serta observasi dan dokumentasi. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik fase A di SDN 077 SEJAHTERA dengan sampel dari kelas 2E sebanyak 23 peserta didik dan dari kelas 2G sebanyak 19 peserta didik. Hasil penelitian ini adalah metode treasure hunt dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar materi denah dan arah mata angin peserta didik fase A. Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil uji hipotesis post-test dengan taraf signifikansi 0,042<0,05 bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara hasil belajar materi denah dan arah mata angin kelompok kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional dengan hasil belajar materi denah dan arah mata angin kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan metode treasure hunt. This research is motivated by the inability of students to read maps and directions if the maps and directions are 2D or physical maps. The failure of students to read maps and directions is caused by a lack of further understanding of maps and directions when taught at the elementary school level. This research aims to: 1) Have knowledge of the learning outcomes of maps and directions of phase A students; 2) Know the learning outcomes of maps and directions of phase A students; 3) Know the effect of the treasure hunt method to improve the learning outcomes of maps and directions of phase A students. This quantitative study uses a quasi-experiment pre-test and post-test with a non-equivalent control group research design. The instruments used are pre-test and post-test test instruments as well as observation and documentation. The population of this study was all phase A students at SDN 077 SEJAHTERA with samples from class 2E as many as 23 students and from class 2G as many as 19 students. The results of this study are the treasure hunt method can improve the learning outcomes of maps and directions of phase A students. This is evidenced by the results of the post-test hypothesis test with a significance level of 0.042<0.05 that there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of maps and directions of the control class group using conventional methods with the learning outcomes of maps and directions of the experimental class using the treasure hunt method.
