Abstract

Penelitian ini melatar belakangi dengan adanya perkembangan teknologi yang semakin besar,
bahwasanya akan membuat kecenderungan psikologis suatu khalayak khsusunya pada generasi
z, ini dengan memperkuat isu kesadaran mental saat ini, dengan adanya perkemabangan
teknologi ini informasi yang didapatkan semakin cepat, generasi z tersebut semakin penasaran
untuk mengakses informasi mengenai isu kesehatan mental tersebut. Maka dari itu tujuan
penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan itensitas penggunaan media sosial
(X) terhadap kesadaran mental generasi z (Y). Teori yang dipergunakan adalah teori S- O-R,
yang dimana dalam teori ini dijelaskan bagaimana sebuah stimulus yang sebelumnya diterima
organisme, akan menampilkan rangsangan atau respon tertentu. Dalam penelitian ini stimulus
yang dimaksud adalah itensitas seberapa besar penggunaan media sosial dengan responnya
yaitu kesadaran mental. Hasil yang diperolh dari penelitian dengan menyebarkan kepada 100
responden kepada remaja rentan usia 15-26 tahun adalag memiliki hubungan yangdimana hasil
yang diperoleh adalah 0,670 atau 67 %. Dengan ini menunjukkan bahwa variabelindependent
yaitu hubungan itensitas penggunaan media sosial instagram mampu mempengaruhi kesadaran
kesehatan mental, sedangkan 33 % lainnya dipengaruhi oleh variabellain lain di luar penelitian
ini.

This research is motivated by the increasingly large development of technology, which will
actually make the psychological tendencies of an audience especially in the z generation, this
strengthens the issue of current mental awareness, with the development of this technology
information is obtained faster, the z generation is increasingly curious to access information on
mental health issues. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to find out whether there is a
relationship between the intensity of social media use (X) on the mental awareness of
generation z (Y). The theory used is the S-O-R theory, which in this theory explains how a
stimulus that was previously received by an organism will display a certain stimulus or
response. In this study, the stimulus in question is the intensity of how much social media is
used with the response, namely mental awareness. The results obtained from the research by
distributing to 100 respondents to vulnerable youth aged 15-26 years have a relationship where
the results obtained are 0.670 or 67%. This shows that the independent variable, namely the
intensity relationship with Instagram social media use, is able to influence mental health
awareness, while the other 33% are influenced by other variables outside of this study.
