Abstract

ABSTRAK Skripsi ini berjudul “Perkembangan Pondok Mufidah Santi Asromo Di Majalengka Tahun 1966-2015”. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena menariknya kemampuan para pimpinan Pondok Mufidah Santi Asromo dalam mempertahankan eksistensi pondok pesantren di era perkembangan zaman yang terus berubah ke arah moderenitas. Penelitian ini kemudian dijabarkan dalam beberapa tujuan yang ingin dicapai, yaitu menjelaskan latar belakang berdirinya Pondok Mufidah Santi Asromo di Majalengka, mendeskripsikan sistem pendidikan Islam yang dikembangkan Pondok Mufidah Santi Asromo, mendeskripsikan dinamika kelembagaan Pondok Mufidah Santi Asromo, dan mengidentifikasi pengaruh keberadaan Pondok Mufidah Santi Asromo terhadap kehidupan masyarakat sekitar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode historis dengan empat tahapan yaitu heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi dan historiografi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diketahui latar belakang didirikannya Pondok Mufidah Santi Asromo karena K.H. Abdul Halim sebagai pendiri kurang puas terhadap pendidikan yang diberikan oleh pemerintah Belanda karena lulusan sekolahnya menggantungkan diri kepada lapangan pekerjaan yang diberikan oleh pihak Belanda, dan juga kurang puasnya pendidikan pesantren pada saat itu karena hanya mengajarkan pendidikan agama saja. kemudian, dalam perkembangannya Pondok Mufidah Santi Asromo mulai mendirikan lembaga pendidikan formal dari mulai tingkat RA, MI, SMP, dan SMA yang pendiriannya bertahap. Selain itu, peran dari seorang pemimpin pondok juga memberikan dampak perubahan baik untuk pondok pesantren maupun masyarakat baik lingkungan sekitar pondok maupun diluar pondok. Kata Kunci: Perkembangan Pondok Pesantren, Kiai, perubahan Sosial ABSTRACT This thesis is entitled "Development of The Pondok Mufidah Santi Asromo in Majalengka 1966-2015". The background of this research is the interesting ability of the leaders of Pondok Mufidah Santi Asromo in maintaining the existence of Islamic boarding schools in an era of changing times towards modernity. This research is then described in several objectives to be achieved, namely explaining the background of the establishment of Pondok Mufidah Santi Asromo in Majalengka, describing the Islamic education system developed by Pondok Mufidah Santi Asromo, describing the institutional dynamics of Pondok Mufidah Santi Asromo, and identifying the influence of the existence of Pondok Mufidah Santi Asromo to the life of the local community. The method used in this study uses the historical method with four stages, namely heuristics, source criticism, interpretation and historiography. Based on the results of this study, it is known that the background of the establishment of Pondok Mufidah Santi Asromo was because K.H. Abdul Halim as the founder was dissatisfied with the education provided by the Dutch government because his school graduates depended on the jobs provided by the Dutch, and he was also dissatisfied with Islamic boarding school education at that time because it only taught religious education. then, in its development Pondok Mufidah Santi Asromo began to establish formal educational institutions starting from the RA, MI, SMP, and SMA levels which were established in stages. In addition, the role of a pesantren leader also has an impact on change both for the Islamic boarding school and the community both in the environment around the Islamic boarding school and outside the Islamic boarding school.
