Abstract

Perilaku anak saat usia dini berperan sangat penting dalam membentuk karakternya saat dewasa kelak. Perkembangan anak mempengaruhi perkembangan yang lainnya, dan perkembangan saat ini sangat mempengaruhi perkembangan anak periode berikutnya. Anak dengan kecenderungan perilaku agresif memungkinkan perkembangan sosial anak terhambat, karena kesulitan dalam mengontrol emosinya, sehingga respon anak terhadap lingkungannya terkadang tidak sesuai dengan situasi dan kondisi yang seharusnya. Perilaku agresif anak tentu akan menghambat berbagai perkembangan anak, bahkan memungkinkan anak memiliki kepriadian antisosial, terganggu kesehatan mentalnya, bahkan prestasinya. Untuk menghindari hal tersebut, maka perlu adanya penanganan dalam mengurangi atau merubah kecenderungan perilaku anak yang kurang baik, salah satunya perilaku agresif. Perilaku agresif cenderung merugikan dan menyakiti lawannya, sehingga tidak sedikit yang merasa tidak nyaman berada didekat anak dengan kecenderungan perilaku agresif. Timbulnya kecenderungan perilaku agresif anak merupakan bukti tumpulnya kecerdasan sosial dan emosional anak. Untuk mengurangi kecenderungan perilaku agresif anak, maka perlu ditingkatkan keterampilan sosial emosionalnya. Metode bermain peran, berkaitan dengan dimensi pribadi dan sosial, sehingga anak dapat memahami diri sendiri dan lingkungannya melalui kegiatan bermain peran. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif, dengan metode SSR (Single Subject Research) dengan pola desain A-B-A, yaitu fase baseline-1, fase intervensi (pemberian treatment), dan fase baseline-2. Skripsi ini membahas keefektifan metode bermain peran dalam mengurangi perilaku agresif anak usia dini. Dalam kesimpulannya, metode bermain peran dinilai efektif dalam mengurangi perilaku agresif anak usia dini. Dengan metode bermain peran, anak mendapat pengalaman langsung dari peran yang dimainkannya, anak mampu mengekspresikan perasaannya, memahami dirinya dan orang lain, serta mengeksplorasi nilai perilaku baik dan buruk. Children's behavior at an early age plays a very important role in shaping their character when they become adults. Child development affects the development of others, and current developments greatly affect the development of children in the next period. Children with a tendency to aggressive behavior allow children's social development to be hampered, due to difficulties in controlling their emotions, so that children's responses to their environment are sometimes not in accordance with the situations and conditions they should be. The child's aggressive behavior will certainly hinder the child's various developments, even allowing the child to have an anti-social personality, disrupt his mental health, even his achievements. To avoid this, it is necessary to have treatment in reducing or changing the tendency of unfavorable children's behavior, one of which is aggressive behavior. Aggressive behavior tends to harm and hurt their opponents, so many feel uncomfortable around children with aggressive behavior tendencies. The emergence of a tendency to aggressive behavior in children is evidence of blunted social and emotional intelligence of children. To reduce the tendency for aggressive behavior in children, it is necessary to improve their social emotional skills. The role playing method relates to personal and social dimensions, so that children can understand themselves and their environment through role playing activities. The approach used in this study is a descriptive quantitative approach, using the SSR (Single Subject Research) method with an A-B-A design pattern, namely the baseline-1 phase, the intervention phase (giving treatment), and the baseline-2 phase. This thesis discusses the effectiveness of role playing methods in reducing aggressive behavior in early childhood. In conclusion, the role playing method is considered effective in reducing early childhood aggressive behavior. With the role playing method, children get direct experience of the roles they play, children are able to express their feelings, understand themselves and others, and explore the value of good and bad behavior.
