KABUPATEN BANDUNG (KAJIAN ANTROPOLINGUISTIK)

ABSTRAK
Abstrak: Latar belakang penelitian ini karena banyak masyarakat yang tidak
mengetahui sejarah/asal usul nama daerahnya sendiri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini
adalah untuk mengetahui sejarah/asal usul nama-nama tempat di Kecamatan
Cimenyan yang diawali dengan kata pasir dan aspek toponimi serta aspek
antropolinguistik yang terdapat pada nama-nama pasir tersebut. Penelitian ini
menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, artinya penelitian dilakukan langsung ke
sumber datanya. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu melalui studi pustaka, observasi,
wawancara, serta dilengkapi dengan dokumentasi. Sumber data dari penelitian ini
adalah orang (person), tempat (place), dan kertas (paper). Dari hasil penelitian,
ditemukan bahwa nama-nama pasir di Kecamatan Cimenyan Kabupaten Bandung
didominasi oleh aspek toponimi non fisikal yaitu terdapat 10 (sepuluh) nama pasir.
Sedangkan dari aspek toponimi fisikal, hanya terdapat 7 (tujuh) nama pasir. Dan
semua nama pasir dipengaruhi oleh aspek antropolinguistik keterhubungan, ada pula
6 (enam) nama pasir yang dipengaruhi oleh aspek antropolinguistik kebernilaian,
dan 4 (empat) nama pasir dipengaruhi oleh aspek antropolinguistik keberlanjutan.

ABSTRACT
Abstract: The background of this research is because many people do not know the
history/origin of the name of their own area. The purpose of this research is to find
out the history/origin of place names in Cimenyan District which begin with the word
pasir and the toponymy and anthropolinguistic aspects contained in the names of
these pasir. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, meaning that the
research is carried out directly to the data source. Data collection techniques are
through literature study, observation, interviews, as well as documentation. Sources
of data from this study are people (person), place (place), and paper (paper). From
the results of the study, it was found that the names of the hills in Cimenyan District,
Bandung Regency were dominated by non-physical toponymic aspects, namely there
were 10 (ten) names of pasir. Meanwhile, from the aspect of physical toponymy, there
are only 7 (seven) hill pasir. And all the names of the pasir are influenced by the
anthropolinguistic aspect of connectedness, there are also 6 (six) names of the pasir
which are influenced by the anthropolinguistic aspect of value, and 4 (four) names of
the pasir are influenced by the anthropolinguistic aspect of sustainability.
