Abstract

Skripsi ini berjudul “Peranan Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Al-Falah dalam Mengembangkan Pondok Pesantren Al-Falah Sukamantri Kabupaten Sukabumi Tahun 1973-2015”. Penelitian ini muncul berdasarkan minat peneliti terhadap Pondok Pesantren Al-Falah di Sukamantri yang hingga saat ini masih tetap eksis, hal tersebut mendorong peneliti untuk mengeksplorasi topik ini lebih dalam. Untuk mengakaji topik tersebut peneliti merumuskan ke dalam pertanyaan penelitian yang meliputi latar belakang berdirinya Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Al-Falah pada tahun 1973, peranan yayasan dalam mengembangkan pondok pesantren Al-Falah Sukamantri tahun 1973-2015, dan dampak dari pengembangan yang dilakukan pondok pesantren Al-Falah Sukamantri terhadap masyarakat sekitar tahun 1973-2015. Metode yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan historis yang melibatkan empat langkah, yakni pengumpulan sumber (heuristik), analisis kritis terhadap sumber-sumber tersebut, interpretasi makna dari sumber-sumber tersebut, dan penyusunan narasi sejarah (historiografi). Dari hasil penelitian tersebut, terungkap bahwa latar belakang berdirinya Pondok Pesantren Al-Falah di Sukamantri adalah sebagai tanggapan terhadap kebutuhan pendidikan agama di masyarakat pada tahun 1908, ketika Indonesia masih berada dalam pengaruh penjajahan. Pada masa itu, proses pembelajaran agama dilakukan secara rahasia di masjid atau langgar untuk menghindari pengawasan dari pihak penjajah yang memantau kegiatan keagamaan masyarakat. Seiring berjalannya waktu, Pondok Pesantren Al-Falah di Sukamantri berusaha beradaptasi dengan tuntutan perkembangan zaman. Salah satu upaya yang diambil adalah mendirikan sekolah formal seperti MTSS Al-Falah dan MAS Al-Falah di bawah naungan Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Al-Falah Sukamantri yang didirikan pada tahun 1973. Berbagai inisiatif pengembangan tersebut kemudian berdampak positif terhadap masyarakat Desa Sukamantri, terutama dalam bidang agama, pendidikan, sosial, dan ekonomi. This thesis is entitled "The Development of Pondok Pesantren Al-Falah Sukamantri, Sukabumi Regency 1973-2015". This research arose based on the researcher's interest in the Al-Falah Islamic Boarding School in Sukamantri which until now still exists, it encouraged researchers to explore this topic more deeply. To study the topic, researchers formulated it into research questions which include the background of the establishment of the Al-Falah Islamic Education Foundation in 1973, the role of the foundation in developing the Al-Falah Sukamantri Islamic boarding school in 1973-2015, and the impact of the development carried out by the Al-Falah Sukamantri Islamic boarding school on the surrounding community in 1973-2015. The method applied in this research is a historical approach that involves four steps, namely the collection of sources (heuristics), critical analysis of these sources, interpretation of the meaning of these sources, and the preparation of historical narratives (historiography). From the results of the study, it was revealed that the background of the establishment of Pondok Pesantren Al-Falah in Sukamantri was in response to the need for religious education in the community in 1908, when Indonesia was still under the influence of colonization. At that time, the religious learning process was carried out in secret in a mosque or langgar to avoid supervision from the colonizers who had the power to control the learning process. Over time, Pondok Pesantren Al-Falah in Sukamantri tried to adapt to the demands of the times. One of the efforts taken was to establish formal schools such as MTSS Al-Falah and MAS Al-Falah under the auspices of the Al-Falah Sukamantri Islamic Education Foundation which was established in 1973. These various development initiatives then had a positive impact on the people of Sukamantri Village, especially in the fields of religion, education, social and economy.
