Abstract

Hasil belajar yang diperoleh pada mata pelajaran Produk Kreatif dan Kewirausahaan (PKK) di Jurusan Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik SMK N 1 Sumedang dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional masih menunjukan banyaknya siswa yang memperoleh nilai di bawah KKM. Dalam penelitian ini diterapkan dua model pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran PKK, yakni model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dan Discovery Learning. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran PKK dan mengetahui perbandingan dari kedua model pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Diterapkannya kedua model ini dikarenakan guru mata pelajaran PKK merasa belum menemukan formula yang tepat untuk diterapkan pada mata pelajaran PKK. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode yang digunakannya adalah metode eksperimen. Metode eksperimen digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel independen (kelakuan) terhadap variabel dependen (hasil) dalam kondisi terkendali. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini, kelas A yang menggunakan model Project Based Learning maupun kelas B yang menggunakan model Discovery Learning mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar. Namun demikian, kelas A mengalami peningkatan sedikit lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas B. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Project Based Learning pada kelas A lebih berhasil dibandingkan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning pada kelas B. Based on the learning outcomes obtained in the subject of Entrepreneurial Creative Products (PKK) in the Department of Electrical Power Installation Engineering at SMK N 1 Sumedang there are still many students who score below the KKM using conventional learning models. In this research, two learning models were applied to Creative Products and Entrepreneurship subjects, namely the Project Based Learning model in the experimental class and Discovery Learning in the control class. The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes in the subject of Creative Products and Entrepreneurship and to find out the comparison of the two learning models applied. This research was carried out because the Creative Products and Entrepreneurship teachers felt they had not found the right formula to apply to the Creative Products and Entrepreneurship subjects. This research was carried out using a quantitative approach, a quantitative approach is an approach that uses statistical data analysis. The method used is the experimental method, The experimental method is a method used to determine the effect of the independent variable (behavior) on the dependent variable (outcome) under controlled conditions The results obtained from this study, the experimental class and the control class experienced an increase in learning outcomes, but the experimental class experienced a slightly higher increase than the control class. With the results obtained, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning learning model in the experimental class is more successful than the Discovery Learning learning model in the control class.
