Abstract
ABSTRAK Financial distress merupakan kondisi terjadinya kesulitan keuangan sebelum memasuki tahap kebangkrutan, sehingga kebangkrutan itu sendiri adalah dampak dari terjadinya financial distress dimana perusahaan sudah tidak dapat lagi diselamatkan. Kacaunya perekonomian yang disebabkan oleh Pandemi Covid-19 memberikan dampak negatif pada berbagai sektor, khususnya pada lembaga perbankan syariah yang mengalami penurunan kinerja keuangan hingga bahkan mengalami financial distress. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis prediksi financial distress pada Bank Umum Syariah di Asia Tenggara dengan menggunakan metode Springate S-Score, serta untuk melihat dan mengetahui perbedaan tingkat financial distress pada masing-masing Bank Umum Syariah yang dijadikan sampel penelitian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif, dan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dan komparatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 4 Bank Umum Syariah di Asia Tenggara dengan 5 tahun periode penelitian. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan teknik analisis deskripif, metode Springate S-Score, dan Uji Beda (ANOVA). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing bank umum syariah yang dijadikan sampel terkategori distress berdasarkan perhitungan Springate selama periode 2017-2021 dan terdapat perbedaan kondisi financial distress pada masing-masing bank. ABSTRACT Financial distress is a condition of financial difficulties before entering the bankruptcy stage, so that bankruptcy itself is the impact of financial distress where the company can no longer be saved. The chaotic economy caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic had a negative impact on various sectors, especially Islamic banking institutions which experienced a decline in financial performance and even experienced financial distress. The purpose of this study is to analyze the prediction of financial distress in Islamic Commercial Banks in Southeast Asia using the Springate S-Score method, as well as to see and determine differences in the level of financial distress in each Islamic Commercial Bank that is used as the research sample. The research method used in this research is quantitative method, and the research design used is descriptive and comparative. This study used a purposive sampling technique with a sample of 4 Islamic Commercial Banks in Southeast Asia with a 5 year research period. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis techniques, the Springate S-Score method, and the ANOVA Test. The results of this study indicate that each Islamic commercial bank used as a sample is categorized as distress based on Springate calculations for the 2017-2021 period and there are differences in financial distress conditions at each bank.
