Abstract
Peningkatan Keaktifan dan hasil belajar Peserta didik dapat dilakukan dengan meningkatkan kualitas suatu proses pembelajaran, salah satu ialah dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengukuran Tanah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan keaktifan dan hasil belajar peserta didik setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada mata pelajaran ilmu ukur tanah di SMKN 7 Baleendah. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dikemukanan oleh Kemmis & McTaggart dengan memberikan tindakan sebanyak 2 siklus pembelajaran yang terdiri dalam empat kali pertemuan. populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X DPIB SMKN 7 Baleendah sebanyak 72 siwa dan sampel penelitiannya adalah kelas X DPIB 1 SMKN 7 Baleendah sebanyak 32 siswa. keaktifan belajar siswa diperoleh dari data hasil observasi. dan untuk hasil belajar diperoleh dari hasil Post-Test. Selain itu, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa hal ini dapat ditunjukan pada hasil penelitian pada siklus I untuk hasil belajar mendapatkan kategori sedang, kemudian untuk keaktifan siswa memperoleh katergori tinggi. Lalu pada siklus II hasil belajar siswa mendapatkan kategori tinggi, sedangkan untuk keaktifan belajar siswa mendapatkan kategori sangat tinggi. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, disarankan agar dapat memilih model pembelajaran yang memungkinkan siswa untuk terlibat secara aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di dalam kelas dan disarankan juga kepada guru untuk menggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning serta menguasai langkah – langkah model Problem Based Learning agar siswa dapat terlibat aktif dalam suatu pembelajaran. Kata Kunci : Keaktifan Belajar, Hasil Belajar, Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, Problem Based Learning Improvement of Student Engagement and Learning Outcomes can be achieved by enhancing the quality of a learning process, one of which is by utilizing the Problem Based Learning instructional model in the subject of Soil Measurement Science. The aim of this study is to determine the enhancement of student engagement and learning outcomes after implementing the Problem Based Learning instructional model in the Soil Measurement Science subject at SMKN 7 Baleendah. In this study, the researcher employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method as proposed by Kemmis & McTaggart, conducting 2 cycles of instruction, each consisting of four sessions. The research population consisted of all 72 students from class X DPIB at SMKN 7 Baleendah, while the research sample comprised 32 students from class X DPIB 1 at SMKN 7 Baleendah. Student engagement was obtained through observational data, and learning outcomes were assessed through post-test results. Furthermore, the research findings indicate that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning instructional model can enhance both student engagement and learning outcomes. This is evident from the research results in the first cycle, where learning outcomes achieved a moderate category, and student engagement reached a high category. Moving to the second cycle, student learning outcomes reached a high category, while student engagement was classified as very high. To enhance the quality of instruction, it is recommended to select instructional models that enable students to actively participate in classroom learning activities. Teachers are also advised to adopt the Problem Based Learning instructional model and master its steps to ensure active student involvement in the learning process.
