Abstract
Latar belakang penelitian ini karena adanya kekurangan dalam kemampuan menulis awal siswa kelas I yang berdampak negatif pada proses pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa yang rendah atau belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pelaksanaan dan hasil kemampuan menulis awal siswa sekolah dasar kelas I dengan menerapkan metode Struktural Analitik Sintetik (SAS). Alasan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini yakni memberikan alternative penerapan metode pembelajaran Struktural Analitik Sintetik dalam meningkatkan kemmapuan menulis permulaan pada peserta didik. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 27 siswa kelas I di salah satu SDN di Kabupaten Purwakarta, Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan mode spiral Kemmis dan McTaggart. Desain penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik tes, observasi aktivitas guru, dan observasi aktivitas siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan setiap siklus. Pada awal penelitian, presentase kemampuan menulis awal siswa dengan metode Struktural Analitik Sintetik (SAS) yang mencapai (≥ 70) hanya sebesar 25%. Setelah perlakuan penelitian, terjadi peningkatan pada siklus 2, di mana presentase tersebut mencapai 85%. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian yang telah peneliti lakukan, maka dapat diambil kesimpulann kemampuan menulis permulaan dengan menerapkan metode Struktural Analitik Sintetik (SAS) pada kelas I di salah satu Sekolah Dasar di Purwakarta cukup efektif dan menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan. ----- Background research was conducted due to the shortcomings in the early writing abilities of first-grade students, which had a negative impact on the learning process and resulted in low student achievement or failure to meet the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). The purpose of this study was to examine the implementation and outcomes of early writing abilities among first-grade elementary school students by applying the Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS) method. The reason for conducting this research was to provide an alternative application of the Structural Analytic Synthetic learning method to improve the initial writing skills of the learners. The subjects of this study were 27 first-grade students from one of the primary schools in Purwakarta Regency. The research method used was classroom action research (CAR) with a spiral mode according to Kemmis and McTaggart. The research design consisted of two cycles. Data were collected through tests, observation of teacher activities, and observation of student activities. The research results indicated improvement in each cycle. At the beginning of the study, the percentage of students' early writing abilities using the Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS) method reaching (≥ 70) was only 25%. After the research treatment, there was an increase in cycle 2, where this percentage reached 85%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the early writing skills of first-grade students, when applying the Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS) method in one of the elementary schools in Purwakarta, are quite effective and show significant improvement.
