Abstract
ABSTRAK Tanaman hanjeli (Coix lacrym- jobi L.) saat ini kurang dikenal oleh masyarakat umum di Indonesia karena masih sedikitnya kegiatan budidaya di Indonesia. Kecilnya minat petani untuk membudidayakan tanaman hanjeli berhubungan dengan kurangnya informasi terkait potensi tanaman ini baik sebagai pangan maupun obat herbal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan profil metabolit yang terdapat pada buah dan tangkai buah hanjeli kultivar ketan dan hanjeli batok serta aktivitas antioksidan buah dan tangkai buah hanjeli kultivar batok yang dibudidaya di Desa Wisata Hanjeli, Kecamatan Waluran, Kabupaten Sukabumi. Sampel diekstraksi dengan metode maserasi pada etanol 70% p.a selama 3 x 24 jam. Data hasil GC-MS diidentifikasi untuk senyawa dengan indeks kesamaan > 80% dengan pustaka Willey 09th dan National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST). Pengukuran nilai antioksidan dilakukan dengan metode uji DPPH. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan buah hanjeli kultivar ketan memiliki delapan senyawa metabolit, sedangkan buah hanjeli kultivar batok hanya memiliki tiga senyawa metabolit dari golongan asam lemak. Dari keduanya, terdapat satu senyawa yang sama. Tangkai buah hanjeli ketan memiliki 43 senyawa metabolit, sedangkan tangkai buah hanjeli kultivar batok memiliki 24 senyawa metabolit. Dari keduanya, terdapat 11 senyawa yang sama. Aktivitas antioksidan pada tangkai buah hanjeli batok lebih tinggi (IC50 = 326.25) dibandingkan pada buahnya (IC50 = 1140.49). The small interest of farmers to cultivate this plant is related to the lack of information regarding the potential of this plant both as food and medicine. The purpose of this study was to obtain the profile of metabolites present in the fruit and fruit stalks of hanjeli ketan and hanjeli batok, and the antioxidant activity of fruit and fruit stalks of hanjeli batok which were cultivated in Desa Wisata Hanjeli, Waluran, Sukabumi. Samples were extracted by maceration method in ethanol 70% p.a for 3x24 hours. The GC-MS results data were identified for compounds with a similarity index > 80% with the Willey 09th and National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST) library. Antioxidant activity was measured was measured by the DPPH test method. The results showed that fruit of hanjeli ketan had eight metabolites, while the hanjeli batok only had three metabolities, and there is one compound in common in both. Hanjeli ketan fruit stalks have 43 metabolites, while hanjeli batok fruit stalks have 24 metabolites, and there are 11 compounds that both have in common.
