Abstract

The title of this research is "Engineering Application of Thought in Learning Plus Writing Short Story (Pseudo Experiments in Grade X SMAN 1 Maja Academic Year 2011/2012)". The research was motivated by the ability of students to write short stories are still low. This happens because the use of learning techniques to write short stories are still monotonous. This study tested the techniques implemented to Think Plus in learning to write short stories. This study wanted to answer the following problem formulation: (1) how students' skills in writing short stories before given a thought Plus technique, (2) how students' skills in writing short stories after being given a thought technique Plus, (3) there are significant differences between students' skills in writing short stories before and after being given a thought technique Plus? This study aims to determine (1) students' skills in writing short stories before given a thought Plus technique, (2) students' skills in writing short stories after being given a thought technique Plus, (3) the differences in students' skills in writing short stories before and after being given a technical Think Plus . The method used in this study was quasi-experimental methods to the design of the initial test-final test single group (the one group pretest posttest) are performed on members of the study population, the class X SMAN 1 Maja academic year 2011/2012 with a sample of X-class research 3 as a class experiment. In this study, the class was given the test before and after receiving treatment. The instrument used this study is a test sheet. Based on the results of data processing, the results of this study show that using 29 degrees of freedom in mind the price of a TTable with significance level of 5% or 95% confidence level is 2.628. This means that tcount> TTable or 7.97> 2.628. That is, the level of class X-3 SMAN 1 Maja in writing short stories before and after learning to write short stories followed by using Think Plus it showed a significant difference.
