Abstract

Proses pembelajaran memerlukan media pembelajaran yang tepat. Media memiliki peranan penting dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran, membantu memudahkan belajar bagi peserta didik dan juga memudahkan pengajaran bagi guru serta bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan peserta didik. Di era yang sudah modern, seiring berkembangnya pengetahuan, teknologi pun ikut berkembang salah satunya adalah bidang sistem informasi geografis (SIG), sehingga media ini bisa dimanfaatkan dalam bidang pendidikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran Peta web (ArcGIS Online) terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen tipe quasi eksperiment design. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan media sistem informasi geografis dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Subjek penelitiannya adalah kelas XI IPS 1 dan XI IPS 2 dengan jumlah 36 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes, tugas, dan penilaian presentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas (uji KS), uji homogenitas (Uji Levene), dan uji hipotesis (uji t). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar peserta didik kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar dengan nilai rata-rata 7,56 menjadi 16,75 dengan nilai uji hipotesis sebesar 0,049 sehingga terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media sistem informasi geografis terhadap hasil belajar. Hal yang sama terjadi pada kelas kontrol yang mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar dari nilai rata-rata 11,47 menjadi 17,95 dengan nilai uji hipotesis sebesar 0,046 sehingga terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media Power Point terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik. The learning process requires appropriate learning media. Media has an important role in implementing learning, assisting teachers in delivering material and improving student learning outcomes. In the modern era, along with the development of knowledge, technology is also developing, one of which is the field of geographic information systems (GIS), so that this media can be used in the field of education. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using GIS (ArcGIS Online – Story Maps) learning media on student learning outcomes. The method used in this study is an experimental research type of quasi-experimental design. The variables used in this study are the use of geographic information system media and student learning outcomes. The research subjects were class XI IPS 1 and XI IPS 2 with a total of 36 students. The instruments used in this study were tests, assignments, and presentation assessments. The data analysis used was the normality test (KS test), homogeneity test (Levene test), and hypothesis testing (t test). The results showed that the learning outcomes of students in the experimental class experienced an increase in learning outcomes of 121.5% with an average score of 37.81 to 83.75 with a hypothesis test value of 0.049 so that there was an effect of using geographic information system media on learning outcomes. The same thing happened in the control class which experienced an increase in learning outcomes by 56.4% from an average value of 57.37 to 89.74 with a hypothesis test value of 0.046 so that there was an effect of using conventional media on student learning outcomes.
