Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan buku elektronik pada materi reaksi redoks dengan konteks chemistry to society menggunakan metode 4STMD (Four steps teaching material development) untuk mengembangkan literasi lingkungan. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian, maka metode yang digunakan adalah Development Research (DR) yang terdiri atas tiga tahap, pertama Design dilakukan dengan menganalisis dan merencanakan jenis bahan ajar yang akan dikembangkan, kedua Development dengan menggunakan metode pengembangan 4STMD yaitu Tahap seleksi, strukturisasi, karakterisasi dan reduksi didaktik, dan ketiga Evaluation dilakukan melalui uji keterpahaman dan kelayakan pada eBook yang dikembangkan. Pada tahap pengembangan yang pertama yaitu tahap seleksi diperoleh kompetensi dasar yang dikembangkan yaitu KD 3.9 dan 4.9 pada kurikulum 2013. Dari KD tersebut diperoleh 13 indikator pencapaian kompetensi dan 15 label konsep. Pada pengembangan materi reaksi redoks menggunakan 8 sumber bacaan diantaranya 6 buku teks internasional dan 2 buku kimia SMA. Konteks substansi yang dikembangkan dalam materi reaksi redoks adalah chemistry to society, dan konteks pedagogik yang digunakan adalah literasi lingkungan. Tahap strukturisasi menghasilkan peta konsep, struktur makro, tiga level representasi dan pengembangan draft bahan ajar I. Selanjutnya hasil tahap karakterisasi dari 41 teks yang diujikan pada peserta didik kelas XII IPA 2 terdapat 5 teks yang termasuk sulit. Teks yang termasuk sulit dilakukan reduksi didaktik dengan cara penjelasan dan menambahkan gambar, simbol dan fenomena-fenomena yang relevan. Pada tahap evaluasi, eBook yang dikembangkan memiliki hasil uji kelayakan isi 90% (Sangat Layak), kelayakan kebahasaan 100% (sangat layak), kelayakan penyajian 93,75% (sangat layak), kelayakan kegrafikan 97,05% (sangat layak) dan kelayakan konteks chemistry to society dengan apek literasi lingkungan 100% (sangat layak). Tingkat keterpahaman eBook menunjukkan rata-rata kategori yang tinggi yaitu sebesar (71,51%). eBook reaksi redoks konteks chemistry to society sangat layak untuk mengembangkan literasi lingkungan dalam proses pembelajaran. ; This study aims to produce an electronic book on redox reaction material in the context of chemistry to society using the 4STMD (Four steps teaching material development) method to develop environmental literacy. To achieve the research objectives, the method used is Development Research (DR) which consists of three stages, first Design is carried out by analyzing and planning the types of teaching materials to be developed, second Development using the 4STMD development method, namely the selection, structuring, characterization and didactic reduction, and the third Evaluation is carried out through understanding and feasibility tests on the eBooks being developed. In the first development stage, namely the selection stage, the basic competencies developed were KD 3.9 and 4.9 in the 2013 curriculum. From this KD, 13 competency achievement indicators and 15 concept labels were obtained. In the development of redox reaction materials using 8 reading sources including 6 international textbooks and 2 high school chemistry books. The substance context developed in the redox reaction material is chemistry to society, and the pedagogic context used is environmental literacy. The structuring stage produces concept maps, macro structures, three levels of representation and development of teaching material draft I. Furthermore, the results of the characterization stage of the 41 texts tested on class XII IPA 2 students show 5 texts that are classified as difficult. Texts that are difficult to do are didactic reduction by explaining and adding relevant pictures, symbols and phenomena. At the evaluation stage, the developed eBook has the results of the content feasibility test of 90% (very feasible), language feasibility of 100% (very feasible), presentation feasibility of 93.75% (very feasible), graphic feasibility of 97.05% (very feasible) and the feasibility of the context of chemistry to society with environmental literacy aspects of 100% (very feasible). The level of understanding of eBooks shows a high average category (71.51%). The redox reaction ebook in the context of chemistry to society is very appropriate for developing environmental literacy in the learning process.
