Abstract

Motivasi menempati posisi penting dan strategis dalam mencapai pembelajaran yang efektif. Nyatanya, motivasi belajar pada diri siswa masih banyak yang rendah sehingga perlu adanya upaya serius dari pihak pendidik untuk mengatasinya, termasuk guru PAI. Sementara itu riset tentang motivasi siswa bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pendekatan dan strategiuntuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa di sekolah pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam. Dalam upaya yang dilakukan guru PAI, dibutuhkan respon dari siswa untuk mengetahui apakah upaya yang dilakukan sudah baik atau masih perlu evaluasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan metode deskriptif desain field research. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumen. Setelah dilakukannya penelitian terdapat temuan bahwa tingkat motivasi belajar siswa bervariatif, ada yang tinggi dan rendah yang dilihat dari aspek pandangan guru PAI selama mengajar di kelas. Guru PAI memiliki pendekatan dan strategi tersendiri sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa secara bertahap. Siswa merespon upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru PAI secara bervariatif, mulai dari yang berkesan, biasa saja sampai tidak berkesan. Motivation occupies an important and strategic position in achieving effective learning. In fact, many students' motivation to learn is still low, so there needs to be serious effort on the part of educators to overcome this, including PAI teachers. Meanwhile research on student motivation aims to describe approaches and strategies to increase student motivation in schools in the subject of Islamic Religious Education. In the efforts made by PAI teachers, a response from students is needed to find out whether the efforts made are good or still need evaluation. This study used a qualitative approach, with a descriptive field research design method. As for data collection techniques using interviews, observation and study of documents. After conducting the research, it was found that the level of student learning motivation varied, there were high and low seen from the perspective of the PAI teacher while teaching in class. PAI teachers have their own approaches and strategies as an effort to gradually increase student motivation. Students respond to the efforts made by PAI teachers in a variety of ways, ranging from memorable, mediocre to not impressive.
