Abstract

Berdasarkan perspektif psikologi perkembangan, anak usia sekolah dasar (7-12 tahun) berada pada tahap perkembangan operasional konkret, dimana pola asuh orang tua sangat berperan penting terhadap prestasi belajar anak. Akan tetapi, pemahaman orang tua akan pentingnya pola asuh anak masih kurang terbukti dengan minimnya kajian literatur di Indonesia tentang pola asuh dan prestasi belajar. Sehingga masih banyak orang tua yang kurang memperhatikan pola asuh yang sesuai dengan masa perkembangan anak yang dapat mempengaruhi prestasi belajar anak. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisa bagaimana hubungan pola asuh anak pada usia sekolah dasar kelas VI terhadap prestasi belajar di sekolah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi non partisipan, wawancara terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Dimana instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pertanyaan terstruktur yang sudah divalidasi. Adapun subjek penelitian ini adalah orang tua siswa, siswa kelas VI, dan Guru Kelas VI SDN Karang Asih 12. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis fenomenologi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa penerapan pola asuh orang tua sangat berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas VI SDN Karang Asih 12. Dimana, siswa dengan pola asuh demokratis memiliki tingkat prestasi yang cukup tinggi. Sedangkan, sebagian besar siswa dengan pola asuh otoriter memiliki tingkat prestasi menengah dan siswa dengan pola asuh permisif memiliki tingkat prestasi yang cenderung lebih rendah dibandingkan pola asuh lainnya. ----- According to developmental psychology, primary school-age children (7-12 years) are at the period of concrete operational development, when parenting styles play a vital effect on children's learning accomplishment. However, due to a dearth of literature evaluation on parenting and learning attainment in Indonesia, parents' comprehension of the value of parenting remains limited. As a result, many parents continue to pay less attention to parenting approaches that are appropriate for the child's developmental stage, which might impair children's academic accomplishment. The purpose of this study was to examine the association between parenting style and academic success in children in the sixth grade of elementary school. Data was gathered through non-participant, structured interviews, and documentation. The instruments used in this study are structured questions that have been verified. The participants in this study were parents, students in class VI, and instructors in class VI at SDN Karang Asih 12. This study took a qualitative phenomenological method. According to the study's findings, the use of parenting parents had a significant impact on the learning accomplishment of class VI students at SDN Karang Asih 12. Students with democratic parenting practices performed well academically. Meanwhile, the majority of students with authoritarian parenting styles accomplish at a medium level, while students with permissive parenting styles achieve at a lower level than students with other parenting types.
