Abstract

ABSTRAK Keterampilan sosial merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang perlu ditingkatkan dan difokuskan dalam pembelajaran IPS. Dengan dikuasainya kemampuan keterampilan sosial siswa, diharapkan dapat mempersiapkan peserta didik untuk menjadi warga negara yang baik. Oleh karena itu perlu penguatan peranan IPS untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Contextual Teaching And Learning Komponen Community dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan keterampilan sosial, serta mengetahui peningkatan skor akhir kemampuan keterampilan sosial siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan desain nonequivalent control grup yaitu dengan melakukan pretest dan posttest pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Subjek pada penelitian ini terdiri dari 48 siswa kelas V SD. instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan Angket. Hasil analisis data menunjukan pengaruh model CTL terhadap kemampuan keterampilan sosial siswa sebesar 49,6%. Hasil uji t n-gain memperoleh nilai sig 0,000 maka H0 ditolak yang artinya peningkatan kemampuan keterampilan sosial siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran Model CTL lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional. Kata Kunci : Model Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL), Learning Community, keterampilan sosial siswa, Pembelajaran IPS SD ----- ABSTRACT Social skills are one of the skills that need to be improved and focused on Social Science. With mastery of students’ social skills, it is expected to prepare students to become good citizens. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the role of Social Science to improve students’ social skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning Component Community model to improve the ability of social skills, and knowing the increase in the final score of students’ social skills abilities. The type of research used in this study was a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design, That is by doing pretest and posttest in the experimental class and control class. The subjects in this study consisted of 48 students from grade 5 of elementary school. The instruments used were observation and questionnaires. The results of the data analysis showed the effect of the CTL model on students’ social skills ability as big as 49.6%. The results of the n-gain test obtained a sig value of 0.000, so H0 is rejected, which means that the increase in the ability of social skills of students who get CTL Model learning is better than students who get conventional learning.
