Abstract
Penelitian ini berangkat dari keprihatinan peneliti, bahwa pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan masih bersifat hapalan saja dengan pembelajaran hanya satu arah. Hal ini disebabkan dalam Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan masih lemahnya kualitas proses pembelajaran. Proses Pembelajaran seperti ini tidak mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Sehubungan dengan permasalahan ini, maka diperlukan inovasi dalam pembelajaran yang memungkinkan siswa mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatifnya. Pembelajaran inovatif yang relevan dengan keterlibatan dan peran aktif siswa dalam mengembangan kemampuan berpikir kreatif adalah model pembelajaran inkuiri. Secara umum penelitian ini untuk membuktikan adanya pengaruh positif Model Pembelajaran inkuiri dalam Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakna Teori John Dewey dalam Hook tentang tujuan kurikulum dalam Pendidikan, Guilford dalam Jutmini tentang teori belajar yang mendasari Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri, konsep Civic Competences (Branson), Kajian Citizenship Education (Cogan, Kerr) dan Konsep Munandar (2009) tentang ciri prilaku orang yang kreatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Quasi Experimental. Adapun desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah non equivalent control group pre-test post-test design. Populasi kelas XI IPA terdiri dari 6 kelas 192 siswa diambil 32 orang siswa sebagai sampel kelas eksperimen yaitu kelas IIPA-1 dan 32 orang siswa kelas kontrol. Instrumen terdiri dari 20 pernyataan (angket) berpikir kreatif dan 4 soal tes uaraian, serta 32 pernyataan (angket) untuk model pembelajaran inkuiri dalam pendidikan kewarganegaran. Kesimpulan penelitian ini: (1) tidak terdapat perbedaan antara hasil pretes kemampuan berpikir kreatif di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. (2) terdapat perbedaan hasil post tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan tes uraian dan angket, tetapi pengaruhnya tidak signifikan. (3) terdapat pengaruh positif penerapan model inkuiri terhadap kemampuan siswa berpikir kreatif. Model Pembelajaran inkuiri ini disarankan juga dilaksanakan pada kelas paralel lainnya dengan penerapan angket dan soal uaraian yang bervariasi. Selain itu guru juga menerapkan strategi dalam model pembelajaran yang bervariasi This research is conducted with the consideration that the learning of Citizenship Education is still in the form of memorization and is one- way direction. It is resulted from the substandard quality in the learning process of Citizenship Education. Learning process of Citizenship Education is so far oriented to develop students cognitive aspect which is contrasted to the character of Citizenship Education; focusing more on the aspects of students’ affective and psychomotor. The process of learning centered on the aspect of students’ cognitive does not help the students to be creative in the way of thinking. In relevance to this, learning innovation in the building of students’ creative thinking needs to be developed. Innovative learning relevant to the involvement and active enrollment of the students in building creative thinking constitutes inquiry learning. This research is generally performed to find out whether there is a positive influence of Inquiry Learning Model in Citizenship Education on the ability of students’ creative thinking. This research employs John Dewey’s theory in Hook regarding the objectives of learning curriculum, Guilford in Jutmini pertaining to the learning theory that become the foundation of Inquiry Learning Model, Civic Competences (Branson), the study of Citizenship Education (Cogan, Kerr) and Munandar Concept (2009) describing behavior indicators of creative persons. The method utilized in this research is Quasi-experimental and non equivalent control group pretest posttest is used as the design. The population consists of 6 classes consisting of 192 students, is in the eleventh grade, and is in the program study of Science. From the population’s number mentioned, 32 students of the eleventh grade of class IPA-2 (Science-2) are taken as the sample in experimental class, while other 32 students of the eleventh grade of class IPA-1 (Science-1) become the control class. The data is furthermore collected using questionnaires consisting of 20 statements of ways of creative thinking, 4 essays as well as 32 statements (questionnaires) for Inquiry Learning Model in Citizenship Education. This research results in a number of findings comprising, (1) there is no difference in the result of pretest in the ability of creative thinking between the experimental and control class. (2) there is an insignificant difference in the posttest of creative thinking ability between the experimental and control class which employs tests in the form of essay and questionnaire. (3) there is a positive influence on the application of Inquiry Learning Model on the ability of students’ creative thinking. This research is recommended to be implemented in other parallel classes with the application of questionnaire and a variety form of essay. Similarly, teachers should also employ diverse learning model.
