Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SD dalam menyelesaikan soal pada pembelajaran matematika, khususnya materi jaring-jaring bangun ruang. Hal ini disebabkan oleh minimnya penggunaan media pembelajaran oleh guru, dan sumber belajar yang kurang bervariatif, sehingga siswa tidak tertarik terhadap pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, salah satu upaya yang dapat guru lakukan yaitu dengan memilih media pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan materi salah satunya menggunakan media puzzle. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh media puzzle terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif antara siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran matematika menggunakan media puzzle dengan yang menggunakan media kertas karton pada materi jaring-jaring bangun ruang. Penelitian kuantitatif ini berjenis kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest- posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Rancaekek tahun ajaran 2022/2023 dengan sampel siswa kelas V SDN Haurpugur 01 sebagai kelas eksperimen berjumlah 30 siswa dan kelas V SDN Haurpugur 02 kelas kontrol berjumlah 30 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa penilaian tes dengan indikator kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) hasil analisis data pretest dan posttest kelas eksperimen dengan nilai rata-rata pretest yakni 51,83 dan nilai rata-rata posttest yakni 85,67. Sehingga media puzzle menunjukkan adanya pengaruh penggunaan media puzzle terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas V SD, terbukti dari peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa setelah mendapatkan treatment yakni sebesar 33,84, selanjutnya 2) hasil analisis data posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 85,67 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 62,50 yang menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa antara yang menggunakan media puzzle dengan yang menggunakan media kertas karton (tanpa puzzle), hal tersebut juga dapat dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata hasil posttest kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol memiliki selisih 23,17. -------- This research is motivated by the lack of creative thinking skills of elementary school students in solving problems in learning mathematics, especially the material of geometric nets. This is caused by the lack of use of learning media by teachers, and learning resources that are less varied, so that students are not interested in learning. Thus, one of the efforts that teachers can do is to choose learning media that is adapted to material needs, one of which is using puzzle media. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of puzzle media on creative thinking skills and to find out the differences in creative thinking abilities between students who received mathematics learning using puzzle media and those who used cardboard media on the material of geometric nets. This quantitative research is a quasi-experimental type with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were fifth grade elementary school students in Rancaekek District for the 2022/2023 school year with a sample of fifth grade students at SDN Haurpugur 01 as an experimental class totaling 30 students and class V at SDN Haurpugur 02 as a control class totaling 30 students. The instrument used in this study was an assessment test with indicators of creative thinking ability. The results showed that 1) the results of the data analysis pretest and posttest experimental class with an average pretest score of 51.83 and an average posttest score of 85.67. So that the media puzzle shows the influence of the use of puzzle media on the creative thinking skills of fifth grade elementary school students, as evidenced by the increase in the average score of students after receiving treatment, which was 33.84, then 2) the results of posttest data analysis for the experimental class were 85.67 and the experimental class control of 62.50 which indicates that there is a difference in the effect of students' creative thinking abilities between those using puzzle media and those using cardboard media (without puzzles), this can also be proven by the average score obtained from the posttest results of the experimental class and the control class has a difference 23,17.
