Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian tindakan kelas berlatar belakang dengan motivasi belajar siswa yang rendah pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas IX- I di SMPN 9 Bandung pada saat observasi awal. Beberapa faktor penyebab rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa dikarenakan metode mengajar guru yang monoton, kurangnya penggunaan media pembelajaran, kurangnya sarana prasarana yang mendukung seperti projector. Salah satu faktor yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa salah satunya dengan penggunaan media assessment yang menarik. Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini yaitu untuk mengetahui ada pengaruh atau tidaknya penggunaan media assessment quizizz terhadap motivasi belajar siswa di salah satu kelas IX SMPN 9 Bandung. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang berpatokan pada model penelitian tindakan kelas dari Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan dengan beberapa tahap setiap siklusnya yaitu, perencanaan, pelaksanaan penelitian, pengamatan juga refleksi. Data peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa diambil dari teknik observasi sedangkan data peningkatan hasil belajar siswa diambil dari tes menggunakan quizizz setelah beberapa kali pertemuan. Teknik analisis untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menggunakan media assessment quizizz dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 40,67%, hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil lembar observasi motivasi belajar siswa dimana pada setiap siklusnya meningkat yaitu pada Pra siklus baru tercapai 37,33%, pada siklus I menjadi 48% dengan kategori rendah selanjutnya Siklus II menjadi 65,33 % dengan kategori tinggi dan terakhir pada siklus III menjadi 78% dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Selain itu meningkatkan rata rata hasil belajar siswa sebesar 16,04 dari pra siklus sampai siklus III, selain itu ketuntasan klasikal meningkat sebesar 46,64% yang mana menunjukan bahwa penelitian berhasil dan mencapai target pada siklus ke III. Kata Kunci : Media assessment quizizz, Motivasi belajar, Hasil belajar ABSTRACT Classroom action research has a background with low student learning motivation in Social Studies class IX-I at SMPN 9 Bandung at the time of initial observation. Several factors cause low student learning motivation due to the teacher's monotonous teaching methods, lack of use of learning media, lack of supporting infrastructure such as projectors. One of the factors that can increase student learning motivation is the use of interesting media assessments. The purpose of this classroom action research was to find out whether or not the use of quizizz assessment media had an effect on students' learning motivation in one of class IX at SMPN 9 Bandung. This research method uses classroom action research (PTK) which is based on the classroom action research model from Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The implementation of the research was carried out in several stages in each cycle, namely planning, conducting research, observing and also reflecting. Data on increasing student learning motivation was taken from observation techniques while data on increasing student learning outcomes was taken from tests using Quizizz after several meetings. The analysis technique to determine the increase in motivation and learning outcomes uses descriptive analysis. The results of the study using the quizizz assessment media can increase student learning motivation by 40.67%, this is evidenced from the results of the observation sheet of student learning motivation where in each cycle it increases, namely in the pre-cycle it reaches 37.33%, in cycle I it becomes 48% with in the low category then in Cycle II it becomes 65.33% in the high category and finally in cycle III it becomes 78% in the very high category. Besides that, it increased the average student learning outcomes by 16.04 from pre-cycle to cycle III, besides that classical completeness increased by 46.64% which showed that the research was successful and reached the target in cycle III.
