Abstract

Gedung Eks Tangsi merupakan salah satu Cagar Budaya kota Menes yang kurang mendapatkan perhatian dari pemerintah serta masyarakat setempat. Hal ini disebabkan kurangnya informasi dan edukasi mengenai sejarah terkhusus peninggalannya. Kondisi bangunan ini diambang kehancuran dari fisik dan citranya sebagai bangunan bersejarah, nampak kerusakan kecil maupun besar yang terjadi pada bangunan tersebut. Hilangnya citra bangunan bersejarah pada gedung ini ketika masyarakat menjadikan tempat ini sebagai tempat pembuangan sampah. Hal ini menstimulus penulis untuk melakukan tindakan berupa komunikasi melalui karya seni visual. Penciptaan karya ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pesan kepada masyarakat maupun pemerintah bahwasanya bangunan ini membutuhkan perhatian dan tindakan agar tidak menjadi bangunan yang terbengkalai. Visual karya ini diharapkan dapat mengingatkan gedung ini merupakan bangunan bersejarah yang harus dijaga dan dilindungi sebagai identitas kota Menes. Metode yang digunakan penulis merupakan proses kreatif pribadi yang diadposi Primadi, dimana terdapat pra ide, stimulus, kontemplasi, pengolahan ide, pra berkarya dan proses berkarya. Hasil dari perancangan melahirkan lima buah karya seni grafis cetak saring pada media kertas berukuran 42 x 29 cm dengan mengangkat Gedung Eks Tangsi sebagai objek utamanya. Visualisasi kelima karya ini diambil dari beberapa sudut pandang yang dianggap paling kumuh. Warna yang digunakan dominan berwarna biru yang mewakilkan kondisi bangunan tersebut. The Ex Tangsi Building is one of the Cultural Heritage of the city of Menes which has received less attention from the government and the local community. This is due to a lack of information and education regarding history, especially its heritage. The condition of this building is on the verge of being destroyed physically and its image as a historical building, it can be seen that small or large damage has occurred to the building. The loss of the image of historic buildings in this building when people turn this place into a garbage dump. This stimulates the writer to take action in the form of communication through works of visual art. The creation of this work aims to convey a message to the public and the government that this building requires attention and action so that it does not become an abandoned building. This visual work is expected to remind that this building is a historical building that must be maintained and protected as the identity of the city of Menes. The method used by the author is a personal creative process adopted by Primadi, where there are pre-ideas, stimulus, contemplation, processing of ideas, pre-work and the process of creating. The results of the design gave birth to five pieces of screen printing graphic art on paper media measuring 42 x 29 cm by lifting the Ex Tangsi Building as the main object. The visualization of these five works is taken from several perspectives which are considered the most dirty. The dominant color used is blue which represents the condition of the building.
