Abstract
Perkembangan TIK tidak dapat dihindari dari dunia pendidikan, sehingga menuntut semua stakeholder pendidikan termasuk peserta didik agar senantiasa beradaptasi dan berinovasi dalam memanfaatkan TIK untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Salah satu keterampilan yang harus dimiliki dalam pemanfaatan TIK tersebut adalah literasi digital skills, yaitu kecakapan dan pengetahuan seseorang dalam mengoperasikan perangkat digital. Mengingat pentingnya literasi digital skills, peneliti melaksanakan penelitian ini dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan literasi digital skills peserta didik sekolah dasar terhadap pengetahuan dasar mengenai lanskap digital, mesin pencarian informasi, aplikasi percakapan, dan media sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul diperoleh dari sampel penelitian yang terdiri atas 9 peserta didik pada kategori kemampuan kognitif tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) peserta didik sekolah dasar sudah memiliki literasi digital skills mengenai lanskap digital; 2) peserta didik sekolah dasar sudah memiliki literasi digital skills mengenai mesin pencarian informasi; dan 3) peserta didik sekolah dasar sudah memiliki literasi digital skills mengenai aplikasi percakapan dan media sosial. Literasi digital skills yang dimiliki peserta didik sejak dini sangat bermanfaat bagi keberlangsungan hidupnya terutama dalam bidang pendidikan. Kata kunci: literasi, digital, skills, peserta didik sekolah dasar The development of ICT is unavoidable from the world of education, thus demanding all education stakeholders including students to always adapt and innovate in utilizing ICT to improve the quality of education. One of the skills that must be possessed in the use of ICT is digital literacy skills, namely the skills and knowledge of a person in operating digital devices. Given the importance of digital literacy skills, researchers conducted this study with the aim of describing the digital literacy skills of elementary school students towards basic knowledge about the digital landscape, information search engines, conversation applications, and social media. This study uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collected was obtained from the research sample consisting of 9 students in the categories of high, medium, and low cognitive abilities. The results of the study show that 1) elementary school students already have digital literacy skills regarding the digital landscape; 2) elementary school students already have digital literacy skills regarding information search engines; and 3) elementary school students already have digital literacy skills regarding conversational applications and social media. Digital literacy skills that students have from an early age are very useful for their survival, especially in the field of education. Keywords: literacy, digital, skills, elementary school students
