Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kasus kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran coding di SD Laboratorium UPI Cibiru. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakulikuler coding dalam berbagai indikator dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis yang diantaranya yaitu memberikan penjelasan sederhana (elementar clarification), membangun keterampilan dasar (basic support), menyimpulkan (inference), memberikan penjelasan lanjut (advance clarification), mengatur strategi dan taktik (strategy and tactics). Penelitian ini melibatkan ahli materi, guru, peserta didik dan dilakukan dengan menggunakan berbagai instrumen yaitu observasi selama lima pekan, wawancara, dan tes. Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran coding yaitu sebagai berikut: pada indikator Elementary Clarification, berdasarkan proses pembelajaran kemampuan siswa cukup kritis dan berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuannya kritis. Pada indikator Basic Support, berdasarkan proses pembelajaran kemampuan siswa cukup kritis dan berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuannya kritis. Pada indikator Inference, berdasarkan proses pembelajaran kemampuan siswa kurang kritis dan berdasarkan tes kemampuan kritis. Pada indikator Advance Clarification, berdasarkan proses pembelajaran dan tes kemampuan siswa kurang kritis. Pada indikator Strategy and Tactics, berdasarkan proses pembelajaran kemampuan siswa kurang kritis dan berdasarkan tes kemampuan siswa kritis. ------ This research is a case study research on students' critical thinking skills in coding learning at SD Laboratorium UPI Cibiru. The aim is to find out how the critical thinking skills of students who take part in coding extracurriculars in various indikators in critical thinking skills which include providing simple explanations (element clarification), building basic skills (basic support), concluding (inference), providing a further explanation (advanced clarification), set strategy and tactics (strategy and tactics). This research involved subject matter experts, teachers, and students. This research was carried out using various instruments, namely observation for five weeks, interviews, and tests. Based on the research that has been carried out students' critical thinking skills in coding learning are as follows: on the Elementary Clarification indikator, based on the learning process students' abilities are quite critical, and based on the results of critical ability tests. On the Basic Support indikator, based on the learning process the students' abilities are quite critical and based on the results of the critical ability test. On the Inference indikator, based on the learning process students' abilities are less critical and based on critical ability tests. On the Advanced Clarification indikator, based on the learning process and student ability tests are less critical. On the Strategy and Tactics indikator, based on the learning process students' abilities are less critical and based on tests of critical students' abilities.
