Abstract

Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk meneliti perbedaan signifikan yang terjadi antara penggunaan media pembelajaran podcast education dengan audiobook terhadap hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik di SMA Negeri 25 Bandung. Hasil belajar kognitif mencakup pada tingkatan kognitif versi taksonomi bloom yang mencakup keterampilan mengaplikasikan (C3), analisis (C4), dan evaluasi (C5). Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya kekurangan inovasi dalam penerapan media pembelajaran pada sekolah yang dampaknya memunculkan kesulitan-kesulitan bagi siswa untuk berkembang dalam proses belajarnya. Penelitian memanfaatkan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan memilih dua sampel kelas yakni kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol pada populasi kelas X jurusan IPS. Sampel penelitian yang diambil menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling yang dimana pengambilannya didasari atas adanya populasi yang besar dan homogen. Adapun pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui instrumen penelitian tes yang mencakup pretest dan posttest. Temuan penelitian menghasilkan: Pada ketiga aspek terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan dan perolehan nilai berbeda antara penggunaan podcast education dengan audiobook. Selisih tersebut memiliki nilai sebesar 2.94% pada keterampilan mengaplikasikan, 3.29% pada keterampilan menganalisis, dan 2.88 pada keterampilan mengevaluasi. Artinya penerapan media podcast education pada mata pelajaran berdampak pada peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan dibanding dengan media audiobook. The purpose of this study is to look into the significant differences in cognitive learning outcomes that occur when students at SMA Negeri 25 Bandung use education podcast learning media and audiobooks. Cognitive learning outcomes include the cognitive level of Bloom's taxonomy version, which includes aspects of application (C3), analysis (C4), and evaluation (C5). The research is motivated by a lack of innovation in the application of learning media in schools, whose impact creates difficulties for students to develop in their learning process. The study utilized a quasi-experimental method by selecting two class samples, namely the experimental class and the control class, from the population of students in class X majoring in social studies. The research sample was taken using a cluster random sampling technique, in which the selection was based on the existence of a large and homogeneous population. The data collection was carried out through test research instruments, which included a pretest and a posttest. The research findings yield: In all three aspects, there is a significant increase in learning outcomes and the acquisition of different scores between the use of educational podcasts and audiobooks. The difference has a value of 2.94% in the implementation aspect, 3.29% in the analysis aspect, and 2.88 in the evaluation aspect. This means that, when compared to audiobook media, the use of educational media podcasts in subjects has a significant impact on increasing student learning outcomes.
