Abstract

Terciptanya pertandingan yang menarik tidak terlepas dari kemampuan atlet dalam menampilkan teknik, taktik, dan strategi dalam olahraga polo air. Salah satu kunci dari keberhasilan dalam pertandingan polo air adalah mencetak goal sebanyak-banyaknya. Kemampuan teknik shooting telah dianggap sebagai salah satu indikator utama kinerja dalam polo air. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara akurasi dengan kecepatan shooting pada cabang olahraga polo air. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif teknik korelasional dengan pengambilan sample teknik sampel jenuh yaitu 13 atlet putra polo air PELATDA PON XX PAPUA. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah Radar speed gun untuk mengukur kecepatan shooting dan snipper goal target untuk mengukur akurasi. Dari hasil data yang diperoleh dari perhitungan korelasi dengan bantuan softwere SPSS versi 25 dihasilkan P = -0,470 > 0,05, yang artinya tidak terdapat hubungan antara akurasi dengan kecepatan shooting pada cabang olahraga polo air. The creation of an interesting match cannot be separated from the athlete's ability to display techniques, tactics, and strategies in water polo. One of the keys to success in a water polo match is to score as many goals as possible. Shooting technique ability has been considered as one of the main indicators of performance in water polo. This study aims to determine the relationship between accuracy and shooting speed in water polo. The research method used is descriptive correlational technique with saturated sample sampling technique, namely 13 male athletes of water polo PELATDA PON XX PAPUA. The research instrument used is a Radar speed gun to measure shooting speed and a sniper goal target to measure accuracy. From the results of the data obtained from correlation calculations with the help of SPSS version 25 software, the resulting P = -0.470 > 0.05, which means that there is no relationship between accuracy and shooting speed in water polo.
