Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kelekatan dengan orang tua terhadap kecemburuan yang dimediasi harga diri pada remaja akhir yang berpacaran di Kota Bandung. Responden (N=355) adalah remaja berusia 17-21 tahun yang berpacaran, tinggal bersama orang tua dan berdomisili Kota Bandung. Data diambil menggunakan kuesioner yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia yaitu The Inventory of Parent and Peer attachment (IPPA) dari Armsden & Greenberg (2009) untuk mengukur kelekatan orang tua dengan reliabilitas 0.94, untuk mengukur harga diri yaitu The Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale dari Rosenberg (1965) dengan realibilitas 0.82, dan untuk mengukur kecemburuan yaitu Multidimensional Jealousy Scale dari Pfeiffer & Wong (1989) dengan reliabilitas 0.89. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis regresi sederhana dan berganda untuk mengetahui pengaruh kelekatan orang tua terhadap kecemburuan yang dimediasi harga diri pada remaja akhir yang berpacaran di Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh kelekatan orang tua terhadap kecemburuan yang dimediasi harga diri pada remaja akhir yang berpacaran di Kota Bandung (Sig. <0,05). Kelekatan orang tua yang dimediasi harga diri memberi pengaruh pada kecemburuan sebesar 17% (Sig. <0,05). Rekomendasi pada penelitian ini adalah bagi orang tua untuk menciptakan kelekatan yang baik dengan anak, bagi remaja untuk mengontrol reaksi dari rasa cemburu dan bagi peneliti selanjutnya untuk menambahkan informasi dinamika dan kualitas hubungan sebagai variabel yang mungkin berpengaruh terhadap kecemburuan. This study aims to determine the effect of parental attachment on jealousy which is mediated by self-esteem in late adolescents who are dating in Bandung City. Respondents (N=355) are adolescents aged 17-21 years who are dating, live with their parents and live in Bandung City. Data were taken using a questionnaire that had been adapted into Indonesian, namely The Inventory of Parent and Peer attachment (IPPA) by Armsden & Greenber (2009) to measure parental attachment with a reliability of 0.94, to measure self-esteem namely The Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale by Rosenberg (1965) with a reliability of 0.82, and to measure jealousy namely the Multidimensional Jealousy Scale by Pffeifer & Wong (1989) with a reliability of 0.89. The sample technique used is purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used is simple and multiple regression analysis techniques to determine the effect of parental attachment on jealousy mediated by self-esteem in late adolescents who are dating in Bandung City. The results showed that there was an effect of parental attachment on jealousy which was mediated by self-esteem in late adolescents dating in Bandung City (Sig. <0.05). Parental attachment which is mediated by self-esteem has an effect on jealousy by 17% (Sig. <0.05). The recommendations in this study are for parents to create a good attachment with children, for adolescents to control reactions from jealousy and for future researchers to add dynamic information and relationship quality as variables that might influence jealousy.
