Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis sangat penting dikuasai oleh siswa. Guru dapat memanfaatkan kegiatan bimbingan belajar di sekolah untuk melatih kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis bagi siswa. Pada penelitian ini peneliti akan melakukan bimbingan belajar berbasis model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) sebagai model pembelajaran inovatif yang membantu siswa menguasai kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang memperoleh bimbingan belajar berbasis model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) lebih baik dari siswa yang memperoleh bimbingan belajar berbasis model pembelajaran ekspositori serta mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap bimbingan belajar berbasis model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan Quasi Eksperiment tipe Nonequivalent Group Posttest Only Design. SDN Bojong Baru menjadi tempat penelitian dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas V yang terdiri dari dari dua kelas. Kelas VA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VB sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian ini yakni tes kemampuan awal, tes akhir (posttest), lembar observasi, angket skala sikap, serta instrumen penunjang berupa lembar bimbingan belajar, RPP, dan LKS. Pengolahan data tes dilakukan dengan analisis statistik berbantuan software SPSS versi 22 sedangkan data non tes dilakukan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang memperoleh bimbingan belajar berbasis model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) lebih baik dari siswa yang memperoleh bimbingan belajar berbasis model pembelajaran ekspositori. Perolehan nilai rata-rata pada kelompok eksperimen sebesar 77,00, sedangkan kelompok kontrol hanya sebesar 66,67. Nilai signifikansi yang diperoleh dari uji-t sebesar 0,048. Nilai 0,048 < 0,05 sehingga kesimpulannya Ha diterima. Sikap siswa terhadap bimbingan belajar berbasis model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) juga menunjukkan sikap yang baik atau positif. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan data non tes yang menunjukkan hasil yang baik. Mathematical problem solving ability is very important to be mastered by students. Teachers can take advantage of learning guidance activities in schools to train students' mathematical problem solving skills. In this study, researchers will carry out tutoring based on Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model as an innovative learning model that helps students master good mathematical problem solving skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the mathematical problem solving abilities of students who received tutoring based on Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model better than students who received tutoring based on expository learning models and to find out students' attitudes towards tutoring based on Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model. This study uses an experimental method with an experiment type Nonequivalent Group Posttest Only Design. SDN Bojong Baru became the place of research with the research subjects of class V students consisting of two classes. VA class as the experimental class and VB class as the control class. The research instrument is the initial ability test, final test (posttest), observation sheets, attitude scale questionnaires, as well as supporting instruments in the form of tutoring sheets, lesson plans, and worksheets. Test data processing is done with assisted statistical analysis software SPSS version 22 while the non-test data was analyzed descriptively. The results of this study are the mathematical problem solving abilities of students who receive tutoring based on Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model better than students who received tutoring based on expository learning models. The average score in the experimental group was 77.00, while the control group was only 66.67. The significance value obtained from the t-test is 0.048. The value is 0.048 < 0.05 so that the conclusion is that Ha is accepted. Student attitudes towards tutoring based on Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model also show a good or positive attitude. This is evidenced by the acquisition of non-test data which shows positive results.
