Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara komprehensif self-efficacy siswa climber, camper, dan quitter dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri di Wajo, Sulawesi Selatan. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket, tes, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self-efficacy siswa climber dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematis tergolong tinggi. Pada dimensi level, siswa climber yakin dapat menyelesaikan berbagai tingkatan soal pemecahan masalah matematis. Pada dimensi strength, siswa climber memiliki keyakinan yang kuat terhadap kebenaran jawabannya. Pada dimensi generality, siswa climber yakin dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan pada berbagai topik matematika. Self-efficacy siswa camper dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematis tergolong sedang. Pada dimensi level, siswa camper memiliki keyakin yang tinggi pada soal yang dianggap mudah dan memiliki keyakinan yang sedang pada soal yang dianggap sedang dan sulit. Pada dimensi strength, siswa camper memiliki keyakinan yang sedang terhadap kebenaran jawabannya. Pada dimensi generality, siswa camper cukup yakin dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan pada berbagai topik matematika. Self-efficacy siswa quitter dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematis rendah. Pada dimensi level, siswa quitter memiliki keyakin yang sedang untuk soal yang mudah, namun memiliki keyakinan yang rendah untuk soal yang sedang dan sulit. Pada dimensi strength, siswa quitter memiliki keyakinan yang rendah terhadap kebenaran jawaban yang diberikan. Pada dimensi generality, siswa quitter tidak yakin dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan pada berbagai topik matematika. This study aims to comprehensively describe the self-efficacy of climber, camper, and quitter students in solving mathematical problems. This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological design. The subjects in this study were students of grade IX, a Junior High School in Wajo, South Sulawesi. The data collection instruments used were questionnaires, tests, and interviews. The results showed that the self-efficacy of climber students in solving mathematical problems is high. In the dimension of level, climber students believe they can solve various levels of mathematical problem-solving questions. In the dimension of strength, climber students have a strong belief in the correctness of their answers. In the dimension of generality, climber students believe they can solve problems on various mathematical topics. The self-efficacy of camper students in solving mathematical problems is moderate. In dimension of level, camper students have high confidence in questions that are considered easy and moderate confidence in questions that are considered moderate and difficult. In dimension of strength, camper students have moderate confidence in the correctness of their answers. In dimension of generality, camper students are confident they can solve problems on various mathematical topics. The self-efficacy of quitter students in solving mathematical problems is low. In the dimension of level, quitter students have moderate confidence for easy questions but low confidence for moderate and difficult questions. In dimension of strength, quitter students have low confidence in the correctness of the answers given. In dimension of generality, quitter students are not sure they can solve problems on various mathematical topics.
