Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya kesenjangan dalam tingkat pendidikan dimana semakin tinggi Jenjang pendidikan maka semakin rendah angka partisipasinya, tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh lingkungan sekolah terhadap minat melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi dengan dimoderasi oleh status sosial ekonomi. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XII SMAN di Kota Bandung, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 318 yang di peroleh menggunakan teknik rendom sampling. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu survei eksplanatori dengan teknik analisis data yang di gunakan adalah regresi linier berganda dengan Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan moderasi predictor, yaitu: (1) minat melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi berada pada kategori tinggi, lingkungan sekolah berada pada kategori cukup baik, dan status sosial ekonomi berada pada kategori sedang; (2) lingkungan sekolah berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap minat melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi; (3) status sosial ekonomi tidak memoderasi lingkungan sekolah terhadap minat melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi. This research is motivated by a gap in the level of education where the higher the level of education, the lower the enrollment rate. The purpose of this study is to find out how the influence of the school environment on the intention in continuing education at tertiary institutions is moderated by socio-economic status. The population in this study were class XII students at a senior high school in Bandung, with a total sample of 318, which were obtained using random sampling techniques. The method used in this research is an explanatory survey, and the data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression with moderated regression analysis (MRA). The results showed a moderating predictor, namely: (1) intention in continuing education to tertiary institutions was in the high category, the school environment was in the fairly good category, and socioeconomic status was in the medium category; (2) the school environment has a significant positive effect on the intention in continuing education to tertiary institutions; and (3) socio-economic status does not moderate the school environment towards the intention in continuing education to tertiary institutions.
