Abstract
Penelitian bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal dengan kepercayaan diri (self-confidence) pada peserta didik kelas XII IPA & IPS SMA Negeri 1 Rancaekek tahun ajaran 2022/2023 dan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara aspek-aspek dari keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal dan aspek-aspek dari kepercayaan diri (self-confidence) pada peserta didik kelas XII SMA Negeri 1 Rancaekek. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah 368 siswa, dengan menggunakan sampel jenuh. Penelitian disusun dengan menggunakan skala likert empat poin. Setelah dilakukan analisis data diperoleh hasil penelitian: terdapat hubungan negatif antara keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal dengan kepercayaan diri (self-confidence). Hasil perhitungan menunjukan koefisien spearman rho’s sebesar -0,112 Penelitian juga menggunakan perhitungan koefisien determinasi agar memperkaya hasil perhitungan. Koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan diri berkontribusi terhadap komunikasi interpersonal sebesar 1%. Maka hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian tidak diterima. : This study aims to look at the relationship between interpersonal communication skills and self-confidence in class XII Science & social students at SMA Negeri 1 Rancaekek in the academic year 2022/2023 and to find out the relationship between aspects of interpersonal communication skills and aspects of aspects of self-confidence in class XII students at SMA Negeri 1 Rancaekek. The sample in this study were 368 students, using a saturated sample. The research method used is descriptive with a quantitative approach. This research was compiled using a four-point Likert scale using a scale. After analyzing the data, the research results are obtained: there is a negative relationship between interpersonal communication skills and self-confidence. The calculation results show that the Spearman rho's coefficient is -0.112 so H0 is rejected and H1 fails to be rejected. This study also uses the calculation of the coefficient of determination in order to enrich the calculation results. This coefficient of determination shows that self-confidence contributes to interpersonal communication by 1%. So the hypothesis put forward in this study is not accepted.
