Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi saat ini memberikan kemudahan bagi setiap orang dalam mengakses berbagai macam informasi tanpa terbatas ruang dan waktu. Begitu pun selama era pandemic covid-19, penggunaan media internet digunakan sebagai sarana pembelajaran dalam keberlangsungan pendidikan. Pembelajaran diharapkan dapat merangsang keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS karena dalam penggunaan media internet pun banyak dampak negatif dengan maraknya hoax. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa tinggi literasi media internet dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS serta pengaruh literasi media internet terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam proses pembelajaran IPS. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP Negeri di Kota Bandung dengan sampel 9 sekolah dengan total responden 383 siswa, dengan penentuan metode sampling cluster random sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survey dengan teknik analisis data regresi linier sederhana. Adapun alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan tingkat kemampuan literasi media internet dalam pembelajaran IPS masuk pada kategori sedang. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS pun masuk pada kategori sedang. Literasi media internet berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS sebesar 45% dan sisanya dipengaruhi variable lain dan menjadi rekomendasi bagi para peneliti lain untuk dapat mengembangkan literasi media internet. Kata Kunci: Literasi Media Internet dan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis The development of technology today makes it easy for everyone to access various kinds of information without being limited by space and time. Likewise, during the Covid-19 pandemic era, the use of internet media is used as a means of learning in the continuity of education. Learning is expected to stimulate students' critical thinking skills in social studies learning because in the use of internet media there are also many negative impacts with the rise of hoaxes. The purpose of this study is to find out how high internet media literacy and critical thinking skills of students in social studies learning are and the influence of internet media literacy on students' critical thinking skills in the social studies learning process. The subjects in this study were state junior high school students in Bandung City with a sample of 9 schools with a total of 383 respondents, with the determination of the random sampling cluster sampling method. The research method used is a survey with a simple linear regression data analysis technique. The data collection tool used in this study was a questionnaire. The results of this study show that the level of internet media literacy ability in social studies learning is included in the moderate category. Students' critical thinking skills in social studies learning are also included in the moderate category. Internet media literacy has a positive effect on students' critical thinking ability in social studies learning by 45% and the rest is influenced by other variables and is a recommendation for other researchers to be able to develop internet media literacy.
