Abstract

Anak tunarungu memiliki permasalahan utama dalam kemampuan berbahasa, baik secara reseptif maupun ekspresif. Dalam berbahasa ekspresif anak tunarungu terhambat dalam mengungkapkan isi pikirannya, khususnya dalam bentuk tulisan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran picture and picture terhadap kemampuan menulis lanjut anak tunarungu di SLB-B Sumbersari Kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest posttest. Hasil data diperoleh dari diperoleh dari pretest, 3 kali perlakuan (treatment), dan posttest. Temuan penelitian dihitung dengan menggunakan uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran picture and picture berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan menulis lanjut anak tunarungu di SLB-B Sumbersari Kota Bandung. Model pembelajaran picture and picture merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang bersifat visual, dimana hal ini sesuai dengan karakteristik peserta didik tunarungu yang lebih mengoptimalkan indera visualnya. Model pembelajaran picture and picture diharapkan dapat menjadi sebuah solusi untuk memecahkan masalah pada keterampilan menulis peserta didik tunarungu. Kata Kunci: Anak Tunarungu, Model Pembelajaran Picture And Picture, Menulis Lanjut EFFECTIVENESS OF PICTURE AND PICTURE LEARNING MODEL ON ADVANCED WRITING ABILITY OF STUDENTS WITH HEARING IMPAIRMENTS AT SLB-B SUMBERSARI BANDUNG Impairments children have major problems in language skills, both receptive and expressive. In expressive language, impairments children are hampered in expressing their thoughts, especially in writing. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the picture and picture learning model on the advanced writing skills of impairments children in SLB-B Sumbersari Bandung. The method used in this research is an experiment with a one group pretest posttest design. The data results were obtained from the pretest, 3 times treatment, and posttest. The research findings calculated using hypothesis testing showed that the picture and picture learning model had an effect on improving the advanced writing skills of impairments children in SLB-B Sumbersari Bandung. The picture and picture learning model is one of the visual learning models, which is in accordance with the characteristics of impairments students who optimize their visual senses. The picture and picture learning model is expected to be a solution to solve problems in the writing skills of impairments students.
