Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keadaan masyarakat, terutama anak muda yang dewasa ini banyak yang tidak tertarik pada sastra lisan, tapi lebih tertarik pada hiburan lain yang disediakan oleh produk-produk teknologi dan digital. Salah satu dari sastra lisan tersebut adalah dongeng. Dimana saat ini, makin sedikit masyarakat yang mengetahui dongeng dari daerahnya masing-masing. Begitu juga masyarakat di Kecamatan Ngamprah Kabupaten Bandung Barat, termasuk sekolah-sekolah di kecamatan tersebut pada jenjang SD, SMP, maupun SMA yang masih menggunakan dongeng dari daerah lain dalam kegiatan pembelajarannya. Adapun tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengumpulkan dongeng sehingga dapat dikenal masyarakat yang selanjutnya dideskripsikan, dianalisis struktur dan nilai pendidikan karakternya, serta dipilih yang dapat dijadikan bahan ajar membaca di sekolah. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode kualitatif deskriptif serta menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan 17 dongeng yang diperoleh dari lima informan, yang terdiri dari 14 dongeng legenda, dua dongeng farabel, dan satu dongeng hantu. Dongeng yang sudah terkumpul tersebut lalu dianalisis berdasarkan struktur yang terdiri dari tema, tokoh, alur, latar, dan amanat juga dianalisis nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terkandung di dalamnya, berdasarkan hasil deskripsi dan analisis struktur juga nilai pendidikan karakternya, ada 13 dongeng yang dapat dijadikan bahan pembelajaran membaca di SMP. Dongeng-dongeng tersebut sesuai dengan kriteria bahan ajar juga KIKD Bahasa Sunda kelas VII jenjang SMP. Kata Kunci: Dongeng; Membaca; Pendidikan karakter. ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the condition of society, especially young people who nowadays are not interested in oral literature, but are more interested in other entertainment provided by technology and digital products. One of the oral literature is fairy tales. Where nowadays, fewer and fewer people know the fairy tales from their respective regions. Likewise, the community in Ngamprah District, West Bandung Regency, including schools in the sub-district at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels are still using fairy tales from other regions in their learning activities. The purpose of this research is to collect fairy tales so that they can be known to the public which are then described, analyzed the structure and value of character education, and selected which can be used as reading materials in schools. The method used is descriptive qualitative method and uses observation, interviews, and literature studies. Based on the results of the study found 17 fairy tales obtained from five informants, consisting of 14 legendary fairy tales, two farable fairy tales, and one ghost fairy tale. The collected fairy tales are then analyzed based on a structure consisting of themes, characters, plot, setting, and messsage. The values of character education contained in them are also analyzed, based on the results of the description and analysis of the structure as well as the value of character education, there are 13 fairy tales that can be used as learning materials for reading in junior high school. The tales are in accordance with the criteria for teaching materials as well as KIKD Sundanese for class VII junior high school level. Keywords: Character education; Fairy tales; Reading.
