Ahmad Hidayatullah, 2022. “SEMUA SUKA SATE BANDENG” (Perancangan Buku Cerita Bergambar Sate Bandeng Khas Banten). Program Studi S1 Departemen Pendidikan Seni Rupa, Fakultas Pendidikan Seni dan Desain, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. ABSTRAK Sate bandeng merupakan makanan khas Banten, makanan ini memiliki ciri khas tersendiri dimulai dari proses pembuatan hingga hasil akhirnya yaitu bisa dimakan tanpa terhalang oleh durinya. Proses pembuatan nya juga memakan waktu yang cukup lama karena cukup sulit untuk menghilangkan duri-duri yang ada di dalam ikan bandeng itu sendiri. Berdasarkan studi literatur dan kunjungan kepustakaan belum banyak sumber yang membahas sate bandeng ini, terutama dalam bentuk cerita bergambar, sangat disayangkan jika makanan ini nantinya terlupakan begitu saja mengingat maraknya makanan luar yang masuk ke Indonesia. Permasalahan tersebut menjadi ide dalam penciptaan ini untuk membuat cerita bergambar yang bercerita tentang seorang anak yang trauma dengan olahan ikan, bagaimana cerita awal sate bandeng dibuat, dan proses pembuatan sate bandeng. Tujuan dalam penciptaan karya ini yaitu mendeskripsikan ide dan konsep pembuatan karya cerita bergambar “Semua Suka Sate Bandeng” dan mendeskripsikan visualisasi estetis buku cerita bergambar “Semua Suka Sate Bandeng”. Dalam penciptaan ini menggunakan metode Research and Development Plomp’s Model, dengan beberapa tahapan yaitu Investigation, Designing, Realization/Construction, Testing, Evaluation, and Revision, Implementation. Perancangan buku cerita bergambar dengan ukuran A4 (21 x 29,7 cm), dengan 72 halaman yang berisi cerita perjalanan Warda seorang anak sekolah dasar yang trauma dengan olahan ikan, lalu berisi cerita awal bagaimana makanan ini tercipta dan disampaikan melalui tradisi lisan yang diilustrasikan dengan gaya visual kartun dengan didominasi warna-warna natural untuk memberi kesan nyaman dan pencampuran warna panas dan dingin agar tidak monoton. Dicetak dengan kertas artpaper dan jilid hard cover. Diharapkan dengan penciptaan karya cergam “Semua Suka Sate Bandeng” ini bisa menambah media pembelajaran, bahan bacaan, memberikan pengetahuan tentang makanan khas Banten dan bisa dikenal oleh banyak orang, serta menambah referensi dalam pembuatan karya cergam. Undergraduate Study Program, Department of Fine Arts Education, Faculty of Art and Design Education, Indonesian University of Education. ABSTRACT Milkfish satay is a typical Banten food, this food has its own characteristics starting from the manufacturing process to the end result, which can be eaten without being hindered by the thorns. The manufacturing process also takes quite a long time because it is quite difficult to remove the thorns in the milkfish itself. Based on literature studies and library visits, there are not many sources discussing this milkfish satay, especially in the form of illustrated stories. It would be a shame if this food was later forgotten given the rise of foreign food entering Indonesia. This problem became the idea for this creation to create a story with pictures that tells about a child who was traumatized by processed fish, how the initial story of milkfish satay was made, and the process of making milkfish satay. The purpose of creating this work is to describe the idea and concept of making the illustrated story “Everyone Likes Sate Milkfish” and to describe the aesthetic visualization of the picture story “All Like Sate Milkfish”. In this creation using the Research and Development Plomp's Model method, with several stages, namely Investigation, Designing, Realization/Construction, Testing, Evaluation, and Revision, Implementation. Designing an A4 sized (21 x 29.7 cm) picture story book, with 72 pages containing stories of Warda's journey, an elementary school child who was traumatized by processed fish, then contains the initial story of how this food was created and conveyed through oral traditions illustrated by cartoon visual style dominated by natural colors to give the impression of comfort and mixing hot and cold colors so as not to be monotonous. Printed on art paper and hard cover binding. It is hoped that the creation of the comic "All Like Sate Bandeng" can add learning media, reading material, provide knowledge about Banten specialties and can be recognized by many people, as well as add references in making comic works.
