Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih banyaknya peserta didik yang memiliki nilai rata-rata prestasi akademik dibawah rata-rata. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai pengaruh dari keterlibatan orang tua terhadap prestasi akademik dengan self regulated learning sebagai variabel mediasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei eksplanatori dengan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri di Jakarta timur dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 218 yang diperoleh melalui teknik random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda dengan mediasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: keterlibatan orang tua berpengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi akademik, keterlibatan orang tua berpengaruh terhadap self regulated learning peserta didik, self regulated learning memediasi secara parsial pengaruh keterlibatan orang tua terhadap prestasi akademik. This research is based on the fact that there are still many students who have an average score of academic achievement below the average. The purpose of this study is to obtain information about the influence of parental involvement on academic achievement, with self-regulated learning as a mediating variable. This study employs explanatory survey methods and quantitative research designs. The population in this study was students in class XI IPS from high schools in east Jakarta, with a total sample of 218 obtained through random sampling techniques. The data analysis technique used is linear multiple regression with mediation. The results showed that: parental involvement has a significant effect on academic achievement; parental involvement affects student self-regulated learning, and self-regulated learning mediates the influence of parental involvement on academic achievement.
