Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran materi mawaris pada siswa kelas XII Sekolah Menengah Atas, salah satu faktor yang diduga mempengaruhi yaitu penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang kurang tepat. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menguji efektivitas penerapan metode Contextual Teaching and Learning dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi mawaris. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian Quasi�Eksperimen dengan alur pretest-treatment-posttest, dengan sampel sebanyak 128 siswa yang terdiri dari 63 siswa di kelas eksperimen dan 65 siswa dikelas kontrol. Jenis desain eksperimen semu penelitian ini yaitu nonequivalent control group desain. Instrumen yang peneliti gunakan berupa tes objektif berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skill yang berjumlah 30 soal pilihan ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Contextual Teaching and Learning efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi mawaris hal ini dibuktikan dengan perhitungan uji beda posttest kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang menunjukkan nilai sig.1-tailed sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dan perolehan rata-rata gain prosen ternomalisasi kelas eksperimen sebesar 88. Berdasar hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa metode memiliki peran penting dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Penggunaan metode yang tepat maka tujuan pembelajaran akan tercapai secara optimal sebagai bentuk profesionalisme guru. Selanjutnya peneliti merekomendasikan penerapan metode Contextual Teaching and Learning dalam proses pembelajaran materi mawaris serta guru hendaknya dinamis dalam memilih metode pembelajaran yang terus berkembang agar sesuai dengan karakteristik materi ajar dan perkembangan siswa. Kata Kunci : Mawaris, Contextual Teaching and Learning, Pembelajaran PAI, Quasi-Eksperimen, Higher Order Thinking Skills ABSTRACT This study was motivated by the low achievement of learning objectives of mawaris material in class XII Senior High School students, one of the factors that allegedly influenced the use of inappropriate learning methods. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning method in improving students' understanding of mawaris material. The approach in this study is a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental research design with a pretest-treatment-posttest flow, with a sample of 128 students consisting of 63 students in the experimental class and 65 students in the control class. The type of quasi�experimental design of this research is a nonequivalent control group design. The instrument that researchers use is an objective test based on Higher Order Thinking Skills which amounts to 30 multiple-choice questions. The results showed that the Contextual Teaching and Learning method was effective in increasing students' understanding of mawaris material, this was evidenced by the calculation of the posttest difference test of the experimental class and the control class which showed a sig.1-tailed value of 0.000 <0.05 and the acquisition of the average gain percentage of the experimental class of 88. Based on the results of this study, it proves that methods have an important role in achieving learning objectives. Using the right method, the learning objectives will be achieved optimally as a form of teacher professionalism. Furthermore, researchers recommend the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning method in the learning process of mawaris material, and teachers should be dynamic in choosing learning methods that continue to develop by the characteristics of teaching materials and student development.
